Objectives

a) To diversify knowledge of the department's enforcement agencies on successful faith-based partnerships;

It is worth noting that this grant would benefit the enforcement agencies in the department as they will get the opportunity to meet professionals and groups who will offer insight and illustrations on how faith-based collaborations yielded fruits on promoting safety(Community Policing development,2020). Although theoretical training is essential for law enforcement agencies, they must understand what they would encounter in the day-to-day mission. One case study that would help show the success of such partnerships include the Below 10 Project. It geared at combating drugs, guns, and human trafficking at the southwest border of the U.S. Combined efforts of various collaborations and stakeholders helped cub the problem. These very issues that are rampant in our region and a quick and valuable response will require the cooperation of the officers and the community-based groups in learning, intelligence and information sharing, case planning, and developing strategies to stop such crimes.

b) To develop field-friendly practices with other local agencies to accomplish faith-based partnerships;

Through this grant, the enforcement agencies will be able to achieve a milestone in combating crime. In most communities and states, encompassing faith-based partnerships and community collaborations, in general, have become impossible because of fear, violence, and inadequate information on the operation of law enforcement agencies. It, therefore, becomes vital to create an environment that draws out all these negative aspects and harnesses togetherness in working towards a common goal. Such practices can be through pieces of training, both in schools and community levels. Also, giving back to communities and offering support to local projects will help in achieving faith-based partnerships.

c) To advance skills that support innovative faith-based partnerships to stop crime.

There is a growing need for every enforcement agency officer to develop skills that aid in intervening and responding to community crime. These skills will determine their success in faith-based partnerships. Communication is vital. The enforcement agencies ought to have proper communication tools and channels to communicate with the communities. This medium will, in return, attract more groups who will be willing to collaborate in promoting safety. Behavior change support is essential if, indeed, plans are put to end crime. Faith-based partnerships will work towards re-integration and counseling, which will promote healthy behavior. This partnership means that the law enforcement agencies to develop skills of understanding behavioral traits and help in building personalities and acceptance of individuals who are free from crime. Supporting activities, such as rehabilitation and counseling, would be advantageous. It is beyond reasonable doubt this grant is needed to help address the above objectives. For the law enforcement agencies, such an opportunity will open doors for advancement in knowledge and skills as well as a cordial working relationship with faith-based partnerships. On the other hand, the government and community will be the highest benefactors as there will be safety, which will promote development.
