On this day, I was assigned to investigate a robbery alarm that rose at the Columbia City National Bank. The Columbia City National Bank is in Columbia City, Virginia. The call dispatch came from the Criminal Investigation Division Headquarters of the London County. As soon as I arrived at the scene, a short briefing of the situation was done by the Patrol Officer. Upon the briefing, the officer informed me that the suspects got access to the bank at exactly 0800 hours. Additionally, the robbers were armed with assault rifles, the AK 47 type.

Several rounds were fired into the ceiling of the banking hall after the armed robbers made it into the bank. One of the robbers then jumped on branch manager's desk where he ordered the bank customers to follow all their demands that they would later give out. The robber giving out the orders was herein referred to as suspect number one as per the Patrol Officer. It was noted the suspect number one acted as the group leader from what was observed when he ordered the second robber, herein referred as suspect number two, to be allowed access to an that he, suspect number one was ordering. The mentioned rear area is where the bank tellers were housed behind the counters. The tellers are located just adjacent to the vaults of the bank. Suspect number three was assigned to stand and keep watch throughout their mission in the bank's lobby area.

It is also reported that suspect number two filled money he obtained from the bank's vault and teller into a black canvas duffle bag. The whole incident took just a few minutes from where the suspects all walked out of the banking hall. The suspects made their escape through the shopping mall area.

Being the detective in charge of the case, I did carry out some interviews with some cooperating witnesses to the Columbia City National Bank robbery. Referring to the cooperating witness's number one as CW-1, an employee to the same bank- the witness happens to be a well-known member of the community as most people know him. I prefer to keep his identity anonymous in this arrest warrant affidavit to protect the witness. This is also considering the violent nature of the crime that may affect him in the future. The cooperating witness, CW-1, provided an affirmation of information given by the Patrol Officer had given earlier. It was also noted through CW-1 that suspect number 2 assaulted a bank teller during the crime. This assault ensued when the bank teller tried to deny the suspect number 2 entry into the banking tellers.

CW-1 also stated that the three suspects were adorned in black rubber face masks. The leader robber, the suspect number one, was wearing a 'Donald duck' mask, suspect number 2, the one who was tasked to fill the canvas bag with money wore a 'Richard Nixon' mask and the suspect number three, the one that kept watch at the lobby area wore 'porky pig' mask. Adding to the information further, CW-1 noted that suspect number two filled the canvas bag with money. The money stolen was in bundles that were strapped in the Columbia National Bank straps containing the initials of the different bank workers who had done the count verification of the bundles and the loose money.

Cooperating witness number two, CW-2, was also part of the interview. The identity of this cooperating witness is also kept confidential for obvious reasons; it happens that CW-2's identity is well known to the police of the area and the community as well. The statement from CW-2 was given to a different detective in charge, still based in London County. According to CW-2, the suspects wore full rubber masks and grey coveralls. The suspects were also armed with military-style assault rifles. Additionally, the CW-2 witness saw the suspects exit the building by the southern entrance of the mall. The time of this is stated as 0810 hours. The suspects as reported by CW-2 escaped using a silver Ford van with Virginia license plates AZB-4589. The dispatcher had reported the car to have been stolen at 0700 hours by the rightful owner.

An interview was conducted with cooperating witness number three, CW-3 to determine whether the suspects were residents of 234 Denham Lane. When showed photographs of the three suspects, CW-3 was able to identify them as tenants of apartment 234 Denham Lane. Based on the above facts the affiant applied for and executed a search warrant at 234 Denham lane. The evidence found in the house included 3 SKS/AK-47 style assault rifles, 1 Winchester Model 27 Handgun, 103,818 Dollars in U.S. Currency, three rubber masks, three sets of grey coveralls, three pairs of red wing work boots. An additional empty gun box, identification documents, phone bill, address book, photographs, court papers, two yearbooks, 18 boxes of ammunition and four banana magazines for the assault rifles.

The evidence found in suspect 2's bedroom including the Richard Nixon Rubber mask, Grey Coveralls and the SKS Assault Rifle proves that robber number 2 is the suspect Jay Nicholas Bryant. The interview with DET. Thornton further serves to prove that suspect 3 is indeed Jay Bryant. Thornton is he is very familiar with Michael Danzig, Jonathon Menton, and Jay Nicholas Bryant, aka Nick. He further points out that all three men have been arrested in his jurisdiction for various armed robbery charges, theft charges, and illegal gun possession charges. Det. Thornton forwarded mug shot photographs, and they were displayed to Cooperating Witness number 4, CW-4, who positively identified the three photographs as the three tenants who live in 234 Denham Lane. Photo Spread was not necessary since the witness knows the suspects so well.

From the above facts and information, Jay Nicholas Bryant is suspect number 2 as identified above in the witness testimony. He is one of the criminal compatriots to the other two. He also lives in the same house as the other suspects in Denham lane 234. The evidence collected from his room including the Richard Nixon Rubber mask, Grey Coveralls, and the SKS Assault Rifle positively identify him as one of the suspects.

From the facts above, I would like to respectfully request a warrant of arrest for Jay Nicholas Bryant alias Nick on the grounds of Aggravated Armed Robbery in violation of the Commonwealth Of Virginia Criminal Code Section 18-2-58 to be issued on today's date.

Affiant,
