In the United States, there are female artists like Beyonce and Jenifer Lopez. Beyonce was born in Houston, Texas to Tina and Mathew Knowles in 1981, and she is a renowned actress, singer, and songwriter (Adrienne 2016, n.p). Jenifer Lopez on the second dimension hails from Bronx, New York and is a renowned songwriter, fashion designer, dancer, music producer, and actress. Although Beyonce is said to have started taking part in performances, dances, and competitions earlier in life where she won several prizes, Jenifer Lopez began her career in entertainment soon after her teenage days in the year 1991 with an appearance in a series known as the In Living Color, playing the role of a fly girl dancer (Jocelyn 2011, n.p). It is noteworthy that a lot has been speculated about the two over the years. The paper, therefore, aims at looking into a comparison of the success and the influence on fans of Beyonce and Jenifer Lopez.

Luckily, for her, on this second attempt, her release saw the light of the day became popular all around and later ended up shaping the Latin Pop Movement within the broader American music industry. She would then wait for another three years where her music achieved the ultimate popularity in the year 2002. It can be said that her remixes J to the l-o! The Remixes were a great game-changer strategy for her. The remix ultimately put her where she had wanted to be her entire life, number one on the United States Billboard 200 chart.
Comparisons of Beyonce and Jenifer Lopez based on Influence on Fans
Beyonce became popular among many as the female icon in the American music industry, and numerous women wished to be like her. She went on to earn herself the nickname Queen Bey from her pop music fans that reiterated that she was the undisputed queen of the beehive. In the history of pop music, such a name was only given to most celebrated female artists of all time, an indication of the popularity Beyonce had (Adrienne 2016, n.p). When she married Jay-Z, many millennial fans were attracted to her as they aspired to have families that have a structure similar to hers. Her marriage not only draws attention among many but also heavily emulated among young couples, unlike Jenifer Lopez's love life. Such reverence can be seen if saw thousands of students miss their final exam papers to attend to watch the new album video release in the year 2013. It is during this performance that she confessed her love for her husband Jay-Z, who is also a megastar.
Additional accolades continued to flow Beyonce's way in the year 2014 when Forbes declared her as the most celebrated artist of all time (Adrienne 2016, n.p). She has had a great influence on the marriages of many through her works and even lifestyle. She portrays a great balance between motherhood, being a wife and a celebrated artist at the same time. According to many, her song Drunk in Love entices many to devote their synergy to marriage since she depicts the institution as being full of fun and sexy alike. By playing this critical role, Beyonce educates the new generation of female artists that is a celebrated artist is one thing, but striking a reasonable balance between related roles and keeping a family is another.
Conversely, Jenifer Lopez is mostly considered popular and influential among her fun base that majorly consists of people of American Latino origin. Many researchers hold a view that Jenifer Lopez's participation in the Hollywood scene has greatly influenced how American Latinos are perceived positively (Jocelyn 2011, n.p). She came to shape the stereotypes such as the Latinos are weak and that they are most likely to take part in criminal activities and gang groups. Through her involvement in music and film between the years 1993 and 2014 alone, the ratings of the Latinos on these grounds dropped to about 1 percent only.
Although revered by many, Jenifer Lopez has had a rough time settling in her life with a husband due to the numerous divorce suits she has been involved in her life. This has contributed to a lot of frustration and resentment in her as far as marriage and marriage life are concerned, therefore, losing followership among the married members of the society (Jocelyn 2011, n.p). Most elderly view her as a loser when it comes to matters dealing with marriage and relationships, hence not listening to her music often. As opposed to Beyonce who has found her ground as a defender of family and an outgoing artist hence gaining support from both millennial and married persons, Jenifer Lopez has been successful in keeping followership from the youth and members of her Latino community. Many hold the view that Jenifer has been the problematic one in her marriages, and this has tainted the view of the public on her character and values. This brings out a clear distinction between them.

In conclusion, Beyonce and Jenifer Lopez are as dissimilar to some degree. While Jenifer Lopez has aged as compared to Beyonce and has lived her life struggling with settling in marriage to the extent of being frustrated with it, Beyonce has settled in a marriage that is both popular and admired by many. With this alone, Beyonce can be seen as more successful as compared to Jenifer Lopez. Additionally, Beyonce's net worth stands at $470 million as compared to Jenifer's $400 million as of the year 2019. A major portion of Beyonce's earning has been contributed to by the sales from her albums, the most significant one being her self-titled album that logged a record sale of 617,000 copies in only three days.
Even though both icons had had some attempt to shape the humanitarian space, Beyonce still ranks higher. Beyonce has had a clean record as far as marriage issues are concerned. She has further been on the forefront in spearheading movements on gender rights throughout the United States hence earning her close relationships and support from the influential people in the society and the United States music industry in general (Zeisler 2016, n.p). On her part, Jenifer Lopez has also been involved in women's rights advocacy, though majorly prominent among the Latino community. Many remain hesitant in giving her credit since they are waiting for her to nationalize her women's rights campaign, in a bid to compensate for her badly damaged reputation due to the divorces she has gone through.
