Introduction

The World Health Organisation published an article on Autism Spectrum Disorders among adolescents. In the November article by W.H.O, the main facts about ADSs are given. For instance, at least one amongst 160 teenagers will be diagnosed with autism. Autism disorders are prevalent during childhood, yet many parents assume them (Hudson et al., 2019). As a result, severe signs and symptoms tend to show during adolescence and adulthood. People with autism can live independently, whereas others need a caregiver when the condition causes disabilities. Parenting skills and behavioral management or therapy can intervene in the disorders and prevent violent situations. Intervention may also involve making the attitudinal, physical, and social surroundings accessible and supportive.

Based on the behavioral perspective of psychology, autism is defined as a range of conditions that appears in the social, behavioral challenges, language, and communication. Adolescents with autism will show signs like the poor interpretation of other people's feelings, inability to make friends, repeated physical harm like head-banging, and inability to understand language and communicate effectively. The causes of this disorder include problems at birth, genetics, brain structure abnormalities, and other infections.

The Forbes on Anger Management

In December 2019, the Forbes Magazine published on its website an article on This Psychological Trick will Help You Let go of Anger and Resentment More Quickly. The article portrays real-life cases where an individual will be angered for their ideas being ignored in a meeting. It further states that the individual who easily let us go and forgives such arrogant situations will live a healthy life. Forbes tells of tens of thousands of individuals who have participated in the online test titled 'How Do You React to Constructive Criticism.' The est shows that less than a quarter of employees will let go of critics and move on with their work. It also shows that out of those who let go, only 42% love their work afterward. Therefore, Forbes Magazine suggests self-distancing as the best way to deal with criticism in the workplace. Distancing involves not taking bad comments personally and dissociating from the negativity from personal behavior. It requires one to disengage the mind from thinking the comments were personal and instead work on better performance. The style can be achieved through, mindfulness,-based cognitive therapy, neuro-linguistic programming, and dialectical behavior therapy.

Basing on the Forbes report, it is evident that many people will experience anger at some point in life, if not every day (Stone et al., 2019). However, when exposure to anger becomes rampant, it becomes a disorder characterized by lousy temper, yelling, breaking objects, and violence. The cognitive approach of psychology is in agreement with the self-distancing style suggested on Forbes.

BBC News on Postnatal Depression among men

On the 26th of January 2020, BBC interviewed a university lecturer on the effect of postnatal depression. Professor Viren Swami of the Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge advised all new dads in town to get tested for postpartum depression. He states that depression after childbirth does not just affect new mothers but fathers too. Swami had been diagnosed with depression two years after the birth of his first son. Speaking to BBC, Swami says he, at some point, felt suicidal and wanted to break the marriage. Professor Viren's case is among the many witnessed among men who act strong yet are dying inside (Molloy et al., 2020). The NHS in England thus recommends that partners of women who attend specialist postnatal counseling will receive mental assessment in the long term plan.

In the end, the psychodynamic approach to postnatal depression among men would defend that early sexual exposure trains men to be brave. Men do not have to cry or show weakness. Therefore, when a baby comes to a family, the man is always viewed as the stronger one. He will have to help with the chore and fend for the family. He will be distanced from the wife, whose attention will now be on the child. Eventually, the man will wallow in depression without anyone realizing it, and it is very suicidal.
