Introduction
Employment is a relationship between two parties, the employee, and the employer. The employer can be an individual, a profit-making organization, a non-profit making organization or even a corporation. Employees are compensated for their services in the form of wages, salaries, and commissions. Employer regulates all the activities that will be carried in the workplace. Any part can terminate the employment contract by giving notification within the period agreed (Elsby & Gray, 2009). Termination of employment contract brings about unemployment to the employee. Some causes of unemployment include, voluntary, entry of new workforce with advanced skills and advancement in technology State laws are enacted to the regulated employment relationship and minimize employers powers over the employee.
Currently, the unemployment rate is 4.1 percent. The labor force participants increased by 0.3. Very few U.S citizens from the group of discouraged workers. This is because of the industrialization process taking place in the United States. In February manufacturing sector added 31,000 jobs and other vacancies in the related areas such as transport. Everybody believes there are job vacancies. Job opportunities are scarce thus only the qualified employee secures these changes.
People in the labor force bracket search for employment daily. Any information on job networks will assist them in knowing how and where to search for job opportunities. Some people are qualified for a specific job, but due to little knowledge on network tips they remain unemployed (Elsby & Gray, 2009). These people will always look for job adverts in the newspaper and other online platforms such as brighter Monday. However, with the current technological advancement, these platforms do not list the best job vacancies available. Anyone searching for a job should look for people who can assist or who know somebody that can help.
Some of the strategies in networking include; brainstorming for contacts, being prepared, knowing that networking has no boundaries, making a follow-up and staying organized. Any person looking for employment should analyze all the people that he or she thinks they can help. These people may be relatives, family friends, and local politicians among others. It is not a must for them to be professionals in the relevant field because they can seek assistance from their friends. Contacts for these people can be obtained from the local alumni association, club meetings, parties and business conferences.
For anyone to accomplish his or her objectives in networking, preparation is a point to consider. Before attending any business conference or club meeting, find out the members that will be present then decide among them whom will you intend to meet. Why meet them? One should be flexible to accommodate opportunities not planned.
While looking for employment one should not shy because he or she is unemployed. He should be free to speak to his collogues in different fields. These people can be having friends who work in an area related to yours. If you meet with an individual who is helpful, it is wise to thank the person for the assistance.
Conclusion
In conclusion, the world's population is increasing at a high rate. This has resulted in the high rate of unemployment. People searching for employment vacancies should have information about networking tips. Connection helps people to get jobs quickly. Many people link connection with bribes, but this is not the case.
