The song remembers me by Marcelo Zarvos can best describe scene one where Troy and Bono are having a discussion on their payday soon after they have finished their day's work. As they argue about work and how black men are not allowed to drive garbage trucks. It is a suitable tune because the melodies are soft and smooth to allow the two (Troy and Bono) to have a conversation as the music plays in the background. The soundtrack can also be used to describe the sad state of affairs that racism has brought to black people. The melody also brings the mood and atmosphere of sadness caused by black people experiencing racism.
The background music by Fesliyan instrument describes a calm and quiet environment that explores self-reflection. In scene two Rose is hanging clothes on a Saturday morning and she has heard singing asking Jesus for forgiveness. The music brings an atmosphere of calmness and a mood to reflect on one's self. As the music continues it sets the mood of the environment but also gives Troy and Rose a room to converse. Troy is stating that people think that he will be sacked but to him, it is not the case. As the two are still talking Gabriel comes singing a song of selling plums but he does not have them. The three Troy, Gabriel and Rose talk about judgment where Gabriel explains that both Rose and Troy are in the judgment books as he saw from St. Peters record. Gabriel sings about the judgment day to warn Troy to prepare for it. The sound is therefore appropriate for somber mood for anyone to reflect on themselves.
In scene four Troy has just won the case against the commissioner wherein scene one he had complained about the black people being denied to be truck drivers of garbage trailers. In scene four he has won the case and has been given a promotion to be a truck driver. The happy upbeat by Andrew creates an atmosphere of joyous mood and somewhat a celebration for the small wins that Troy one of the characters gets. It is a fast and lively beat which sets a mood of happiness and victory. It can be used when Troy is moving with excitement to break the news to his other acquaintances who are black as he is. It is a moment of happiness for Troy because he is one among many black men who have been given promotion and therefore the soundtrack best sets the mood.
It is important to note that the soundtrack is a crucial element in dram and films as it helps in setting the right mood and atmosphere for each scene or episode.
