Who Present the Counter Perspective to Her Conclusion About the Criminal Justice Systems

According to Banes, Dr. Mann purely believed that the whole of the criminal justice of United States of America was racist a proposal that was contradicted by William Wilbanks in his earlier book, The Myth of a Racist Criminal Justice System. Dr. Mann's statement on the racist system of the USA Criminal Justice System was based on the societal structure and happenings within the society. She argued that even the settlements are racially segregated. Moreover, she poses it that the police records on which Wilbank built his finding had questionable validity as it was within police departments moderate them (Cole.et al,.2018).

Use the Discrimination Disparity Continuum to Describe Perspective of Criminal Justice System of the United States

The USA criminal justice system can be viewed as racist in my perspective. Discrimination and disparity are often used in the USA criminal justice system. One race is believed to be prone to crime and the system normally subjects African- American to incarceration more than the whites.

Defining and Defending My Perspective

The disparity is when one his viewed from the past criminal record, where African, American are usually known for major crimes.

Response to Professor’s Opening Statement

Blacks are usually not the problem to the USA. They are wrongly portrayed by the USA media and film industry which views African's as a drug addict and associates them with crimes. Moreover, the system historically discriminates minority groups, subjecting them to poor living standards (Neubauer & Fradella, 2015). The urge to break from this chains of bondage makes the blacks appear as the problem.

Discussion on Whites, Asian and Hispanic Populations in the US

Whites are the majority in the USA and define the traits of other races, theirs inclusive. Whites come first, followed by Asians and Africans in the order of lesser the crime hierarchy. This definition stems from the historical slave era to which the settlement patterns still conform (Reiman & Leighton, 2015).
