Introduction
The DokiPet Co. mission is to make healthy and pure meals for dogs. Our products are accessible and nutritious for your dog consumption. Our production procedure involves the gentle processes of dehydration that encompass blowing of warm air across the products to enhance the preservation of the food and removing of the moisture content. Our veg, fruit and meals are slowly dehydrated between 70 and 100c, which ensure the removal of harmful pathogens, and at the same time retaining the nutrients and goodness of the content (Armstrong et al., 2015).
Performing this analysis in both internal and external perspectives can prove to be very useful in establishing what you are doing better than others. Apart from identifying the strengths in your business, a SWOT analysis can also help in determining the weaknesses of the product too. It is easy to figure out what parts of the product you can improve, avoid what you have been doing wrong, and the main factors that might be contributing to the loss of sales. Identifying those particular weaknesses can help you strengthen your business (Armstrong et al., 2015). A SWOT analysis can also help in spotting opportunities which can prove to be fundamental in the growth of the product.
The target market for Natural Food would be the dog owners. A study that was conducted by the Pet Food Institute found that the number of pet cats and dogs in the United States have increased tremendously. For instance, households owning pet dogs have reached 35 per cent (Armstrong et al., 2015).
The pet market is segmented by age and income. Spending on pet dogs' products differs significantly with income and age. For instance, old householders are considered to be the highest spenders on pet food. Married couples are said to spend 40 per cent more than the average couple on pet meals.
The company should consider using social media platforms and other online platforms to advertise their product. Social media sites such as Facebook would play a significant role in reaching the target consumers of the dog meals who are mostly young people (Simonsen et al., 2014). Additionally, the company needs to use television advertising as the marketing strategy to reach out to the older householders. The creation of a brand image is one of the most critical yet very complex and complicated processes of an organization's marketing campaign. The development of a brand image is essential in the marketing process because it allows customers to associate with a particular product. The brand image communicates in a unique way about what a product stands for and what it seeks to add to the consumers. It is important to note that a product has its unique brand, which is different from the brand of the company.
It is recommendable for the company to devise appropriate means of enhancing effective marketing of the Natural Food product. The market for the commodity is expected to rise, given expanding nature of the baby boomers. Majority of the spenders on the dog products are the older people. Thus the company should ensure that their product meets all the essentials of quality and improved Natural Dog foods.
