Technology and social media have increased individual and collective access to knowledge and skills which improves personal and professional decisions (Ariel & Avidar, 2015). Through social media and technology both professional and personal opportunities which promote individual development in different spheres of life. Social media communities encourage intercultural exchanges and bridges cultural distances which promotes social cohesion and understanding.

Social media promotes simultaneous connection with friends, family, and acquaintances in the past, present and the future.
Technology makes communication more efficient and instant which good for social and professional development.
Technology has improved access to research and knowledge which promotes professional advancement.
Technology and social media applications have improved access to entertainment products which enhances the utilization of spare time (Van der Bank, 2014).

Technology and social media reduce contact and meaningful communications with people around us especially family members.
Technology reduces personal development by reducing the time for physical activities and interactions which are essential.
Social media and technology lead to moral corruption through access to information and products that create negativity and moral decay such as pornographic materials (Van der Bank, 2014).
