Characters are very important in film production. They are a basis in which product designers can create a captivating film that can be the best seller to the audience. Characters determine the quality of any film or a movie (Eder.pp 16-40). The lighting, camera angles, and props can be good but without the action being appropriate and professional, the audience cannot enjoy it. This paper is a discussion of a box office and a production series entitled Blindspot. It analyses the role and characteristics of the characters and their effects on the production.

How staring Actors enhanced the Production of Blindspot

The TV crime drama is set to showcase the intelligence and the need for law enforcement to act on quick deadlines to solve even the crimes without tangible leads. The starring stars include Jane Doe, whom the woman is found at the start of the film. She is the starring woman, found naked in a travel bag by the FBI at the Times Square. She has her memory erased and her body filled with tattoos that would lead to the discovery of crimes hidden by the symbols of in the tattoos.

Jane Doe

Jane shows creativity, which is her best character trait, she uses this personality trait to interpret the possible feelings of the Jane described in the script. Her facial expression for instance when getting out of the travel bag is very compelling, making the audience relate with them especially in the situation she is in. An example is at the start of the film where Jane seems fearful and steps out shielding her eyes from the heavy lighting from the FBI. During the use of the stimulators to try to activate her memory, she cries out emotionally portraying the level of the pain she was enduring. This makes the production worth viewing. Jane has the most captivating physical stamina. This makes her the most ideal actor to be featured as the starring character. Unlike the episodes when she acted as a shy and humble lady. She moves into action and portrays gymnastic skills only practiced by the hard-trained navy seals, making her attract attention, both from the other actors, but also the audience of the film. Her physical fitness resonates with the plot and the intentions of the writer in the scripts. Jane is to later turn out to be a trained navy seal.

Kurt Weller

Sullivan Stapleton is a starring actor, appearing as Kurt Weller and FBI agent. He is in the New York field office at the time of the occurrence of the discovery of Jane. He is persistent in the entire film and is very protective of Jane even before discovering that her name was tattooed on her ("Blindspot Season 1 Episode 1 - Youtube"). The fact that he is caring makes his nature adorable to the audience, who predicts that a romantic relationship might occur between him and Jane in the end. He is compassionate and remembers the disappearance of his childhood friend Taylor Shawn. The character trait makes him passionate about the crime and despite being reassigned from the case due to emotional attachments; he pursues it, making the plot of the production interesting. Kurt's act personality of being kind changes the whole production, when he is appointed as the head of the FBI in New York after the controversial head named Mayfair disappears.

Conclusion

Characters and their [personality affects the outcome of production. Both the starring characters and the supporting ones should understand the mood of the written storyline and appropriately portray a character that suits it. Several other actors contribute to the production of the TV crime Drama but the two main characters are essential in the building of the conspiracy of the production. Their passionate character traits are surprising and allow the audience to relate to the events that the author of the story intended, making the drama viral and highly rated.
