Introduction

Authoritarian ruler refers to the kind of an individual who is characterized by central powers belonging to a particular party, which has limited political freedoms. In this case, the authoritarian ruler can come up with a lousy regime of disuniting the citizens and interfering with the opposition leaders due to personal political interests (Nisbet & Kamenchuk, 2019). As a result, the individual ends up using legislative powers to enrich themselves due to inferior opposition from the population and other opposition leaders with less political freedoms due to the lack of a democratic government. The motive behind this fact is that whenever the government is not democratic, then the overall citizens are exposed to more suffering, a few individuals will carry out activities without consideration of the consequences to the entire country. In this case, in all the countries over the whole world, the opposition is the body, which monitors all the activities carried out by the government as a way of ensuring that justice is followed for the goodness of the other citizens.

Like for instance, the authoritarian ruler might impose heavy taxations, which might lead to the low economic growth of a particular country. The motive behind this fact is that not all entrepreneurs will be in a position to afford massive taxation rates, especially the small to medium businesses. As a result, most of the individuals will end up quitting from carrying out their business, meaning that most of the individuals will lose their jobs as their sources have been terminated (Pribama, 2019). Consequently, the jobless individuals will not engage in the economic growth a situation, which will lead to the weak economic growth of a particular country (Pribama, 2019). Thus, an authoritarian ruler with personal interests of interfering with the opposition and rendering overall citizens from a strict rule should not be encouraged in any country. Like for instance, a similar situation once occurred in Russia as illustrated by different authors in their books.

Different Aliens in Russia have tried to change the overall Russian government a situation that has led to the government to intervene through running various campaigns, which are supported by the advancement in the technology. The fact behind this logic is that Russia is one of the countries, which have the right technology over the entire world. In this case, the Russians are well educated in different activities, which concern technology a situation that has led to the increment of social platforms, which supports technology like the case of social media (Nisbet & Kamenchuk, 2019). Then, the Russian technique of firehose of falsehood will work effectively as a way of overthrowing the authoritarian ruler and bring back a democratic government with technology like social media.

Effectiveness of the Firehose of Falsehood in Russian

In this case, the Russians make use of specific propaganda by the name firehose of falsehood as a way of bringing justice in the entire country. An authoritarian ruler tries to use political powers to divide the whole state (Nisbet & Kamenchuk, 2019). The firehose of falsehood refers to the use of technology in large numbers of massages in great posts, which have different characteristics as a way of bringing down the powers of the authoritarian ruler in the country. One of the main components of the firehose of falsehood is none-other than repeated messages on long posts. The motive behind this purpose of for the sake of confusion of the supporters of the authoritarian ruler as a way of changing their minds and reason critically to embrace a democratic government rather than a divided government which eyes on enriching a single individual.

Conversely, the other purpose of the repeated messages is for the sake of calling upon campaigns of all the citizens to support justice and go against the authoritarian ruler in the entire country (Pribama, 2019). Then again, social media has dramatically been used in the whole of Russia as a way of addressing unethical issues through the technique of the firehose of falsehood. In this case, presenters come up with a good content addressing the audience to quit supporting the authoritarian ruler and join other rulers and citizens as a way of bringing back a democratic government for the sake of the whole country (Pribama, 2019). In general, the tools of media theorists like McLuhan and Rushkoff are useful in countering the firehose of falsehood due to the use of technology as far as social media is concerned.

Learnings of Different Moral Theories

During the class course, I have learned different moral theories, which are of great importance. Like for instance, the course work advocates that an individual should always stay morally upright in consideration of their consequences to other individuals (Dorr & Hollnbuchner, 2017). Then again, there are different virtues, which an individual should always embrace as a way of staying morally right. A good example is that an individual should be honest to other individuals for the sake of bringing good to society (Vaughn, 2015). On the case of duty ethics, a leader is supposed to have the right moral traits like transparency to embrace democracy rather than the division of the individuals in a society or country.
