Various people have different opinions on what it means to have made worthwhile achievements in life. The particular people base the perceptions on the different targets, experiences, observations, as well as expectations in life. For instance, Nietzsche provides an argument that life's achievements should not necessarily be obtained from an easy life. In particular, he ascertains that for an individual to acquire any worthwhile achievement in life, it must come from the experience of overcoming hardship. In particular, according to him, it is not worthwhile to have a life of comfortableness and ease since it is considered wasted and wretched.
In his works, Nietzsche makes use of the ideas by Sophocles and Aeschylus to answer the question of "how can human life be meaningful if human beings are subject to undeserving suffering and death?. Nietzsche goes forward to explain his argument through the view that is given by Apollo. In particular, he claims that it is through suffering that people can be transformed. To achieve success, it is important that people move from a particular are to that which through varied improvements, they can get life achievements. For instance, it is through this that chaos can be turned into order and beautiful life. In this case, any of the sufferings that come along with this kind of life is the price of admission that subsequently makes life worthwhile.
It is clear that Nietzsche, as a philosopher was bent on the dedication of the idea of finding meaning in life. He saw that the mere pursuit of happiness as is defined in the video as whatever that brings pleasure as a dull wastage of human life. He declares that "Mankind does not strive for happiness; only the Englishman does." In this case, it refers to the reference in utilitarian philosophy and the focus of total happiness. In essence, he rejects this philosophy with the use of his parable on the last man. In essence, he makes use of the analogy of the pathetic human being that lives during the time that the human lives have the kind of "invented happiness." In Nietzsche's mind they were happy but dull," he makes an effort towards dedicating his idea to finding the meaning of life. Thus, it is through this meaning of life that he provides the idea for people who are ready to take up great suffering to achieve the goals that they have set (Nussbaum, 1997). For instance, it is not possible that Michelangelo found it interesting while painting the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel or that Nikola Tesla complained of being lonely the whole of his life despite the fact that he claimed that celibacy would play a vital role in his works.
I agree with this argument since it provides the reality of what most of the achievements in life are. He indicates that it is the pleasures and pains of life that determine and provide meaning to the fulfilment. This provides a clear picture of what achieving life means. It is not possible for most of the people to achieve the varied achievements regardless of their thoughts and perceptions without going through some struggles. In particular, this statement resonates with the saying that "nothing in life comes easy." In most aspects of life that include education, careers, and even politics, in most cases, the people who are involved are expected to make some sacrifices. They have to go through certain levels of pain to get what they have been working for. In essence, in most of the educational areas, the students who find it hard to go through the process are encouraged through the saying that "the roots of education are bitter. But the fruits are sweet." Thus, it is one of the elements that support my opinion about life that individuals have to struggle to get a comfortable life. It is a good thing since most of the time; it is the good times that people achieve from hardships that they tend to appreciate more. In this sense, they also make many efforts to ensure that they maintain it and use it to the best of their abilities owing to the hardships that they encounter along the way. In many occasions, if individuals can attain some aspects of life that are easily associated with goodness, they usually do not show a lot of care or concern and thus take them for granted. Thus, as Nietzsche also indicates, it is important to go through the struggles that will make the good life recognizable to the individuals.

In this video, Nietzsche talks about the love for struggle in the way that it is only through this aspect that individuals can attain the achievements that they look forward to in life (de Botton, 2006). Although the term achievement is relative in most places around the world and depending on the person talking about it, it provides no form of doubt that any form of achievement can only be obtained through hard work. This is true especially in the modern world where there has been the innovation and introduction of most things. As such, there has been the increased level of competition in many areas. This means that a lot of efforts have to be put in the many areas that include businesses and industries to be competitive and successful. Therefore, the need to struggle to be successful does mean not only the ability to apply physical considerations but also intellectual and critical efforts that help in the proper performance of most of the things. In this way, through the ability to understand the ideas brought about by Nietzsche, we can appreciate more what takes place in the world and the need to put efforts to succeed. Thus, even for those who disagree with the ideas, they are still appropriate as it provides the proper form of fodder that can be used for the examination of how they live and exist within the world not only with others but also with themselves to attain success.
