Ari Wallack Speech About Three Ways to Plan for Long Terms
Ari Wallack is a good speaker. In his speech introduction, he captured my attention by starting with the unexpected on the stage. He cracks a joke by saying telling his audience the unexpected of him. He says that he has been planning for the future to get on the stage at the moment he was expected to start his speech which sounds funny to prepare for the future and yet it is the immediate time that one is currently operating in. In his introductory words, he creates suspense and curiosity of what the next theme is, however, to talk about. He captured my neck-down attention. He further catches his audience's attention by giving a real example of him. He says "I have been planning for the future for about 20 years now." This statement captures any one's attention on why Ari Wallack has been planning for such a long period. He included a preview of his life on how he used to make long plans that his associates criticized and considered him a joker (Ari, 2017). He said that when he was still a youth, he used to make plans that had an extraordinary time bound to people. His preview was valid since it makes it helps his audience to reflect on their lives' plan.
Ari Wallack says that the tendency of people to make short term plans lead to more problems than good. For instance, he said that the trend of teachers to make shortly ended plans leads to worse situations in schools since the teachers end up maintaining less time with the learners. Hence, they can't be able to learn the problems of their learners. Ari says, "a high school student drops out of school every 26 seconds in the United" because the teachers do not spend enough time with the students (Ari, 2017). It is true that every 26-minute count down there is a drop out in school in the US. Also, the speaker says that short-termism prevents people from investing in real estates which is a highly profiting business venture. Indeed, most people fear long term investments. The speaker has repeated some words more often like "aah," but he uses simple language easy to understand.
Ari Wallack has good eye contact ability by making sure that he does not stick on one audience. He raised showed disgust in his face when he said that every 26 second a student drops out of school. He did not prove any distraction since he had a stepwise delivery of content. He varied his voice well to display every aspect of his talk's content and was easy to hear (Ari, 2017). The speaker did not use any visual aid but articulated his points well. The speaker displays a short but precise conclusion to the primary purpose of his speech. For instance, he says, "yes, we have huge promises out there (Ari, 2017). With this thinking we can make a difference, we can make a difference. I believe in you guys."
