There have always been controversies related to justice, discrimination, civil rights, and feminism among others. Although the legal framework outlines the way forward for most controversial issues in the society, it falls short of the type of approach for cases such as homosexuality or son to daughter marriages. The constitutional framework also attempts to solve the issue of racism especially in our current era where the whole world is on the verge of global diversity. To understand the impact of the constitutional laws regarding the matters mentioned above, we must use perspectives from different individuals to understand their view on the effect of governmental regulations as evident in their daily life. To achieve this information we involved a few participants who were of different ethnicities, age, and socioeconomic status.

The question of racial equality has been a controversial matter for a very long period. Have the countries with diverse ethnicities attained racial equality? This racism issue poses a question that is open to many possibilities, and it depends on who is answering this question. Racial fairness merely is when organizations do not discriminate individuals of all races, but instead, they offer equal opportunity to each one. Racial equality in the United States society has been an important issue and thanks to race activists, right now racial inequality is at its minimum. According to previous studies, racial equality means giving individuals an equal opportunity lawfully, politically and ethically. Additionally, in Western culture today, it is evident of the diversity of races in many settings especially in schools and professionally. Right now, cultural sensitivity is a matter that must be taken care of urgently. At first, accomplishing a peaceful coexistence free of bias was quite troublesome for African, Asian, and Latino individuals, particularly in schools. According to an old man we consulted, it was difficult during their time to be on the same level as the white race. Racial inequality deprived the African American race of job opportunities as well as education to learn. The United States has however recently declared a culture of racial fairness which has advanced to a law that encourages equal opportunities to people regardless of their race.

However, racism has not been entirely eliminated and right now, the American society still hasn't been able to reduce this element especially in recruitment and in schools wholly. According to a high school student we interviewed, some kids in school get bullied for being black, and this matter affects them psychologically. There are no positive impacts of racism and countries should keep fighting it through implementing negative formal sanctions against this vice. Interviewing an African- American, we realized that racism exists on a deeper level than we know. According to the American, racism is a matter of mindset and changing the rules will not help the situation. Therefore, the most important thing in dealing with racial inequality is to create awareness of the importance of fairness to all people. We must ensure that people are socialized to treat each other fairly.

Another matter that brings in a lot of controversies is the issue of interracial marriage. The society is nowadays conforming to interracial marriages although it is only among the youth. We asked an American lady on how she would react if her daughter was dating an African-American and she was quite skeptical. It was not about the issue of black and white, but instead, it was a matter of prejudice on the traits of black individuals. She believed that African- Americans were usually gang-related and even if she did not know the truth of the matter, it had always been like that in her experience. Her version of the story presents an issue of the street subculture where there is such a massive population of African-American individuals who create the prejudice of African-Americans that face victimization as criminals. Therefore, it means that parents usually judge from how they view the world and ensure they are protective of their children against issues such as violence and drugs. However, not every African-American is gang-related or uses drugs. It is the vast majority that creates this prejudice. Therefore, the constitution alone is not enough to solve racial inequality; it is the people themselves who will have to identify the things that they need to correct in order to guard their reputation.

When we talk about interracial marriages, we can be referring to a combination of Whites, Blacks, Hispanics, Indians, and Asians. According to statistics, the rate of interracial marriages is rising tremendously, and many individuals are challenging the existing prejudice about races by getting to understand each person by individual character. The developmental rate of interracial relations is becoming more common in the modern society. According to various teenagers that we interviewed, it is a mutual understanding that has brought this change. Activists have increasingly contributed to the peaceful coexistence among different races, and in the coming years, racial discrimination will be a matter of the past. However, in school settings, there still needs to set rules on discrimination and bullying. Psychologically, harassment is known to have adverse effects such as depression and school administrations must formulate policies against this matter. Specifically, the most common form of intermarriage is that of Blacks and Whites. The traditional American Society considered black Americans to be slaves who were not essential members of the society but with the recent challenge of conventions, there are improvements in the treatment of African-Americans.

We also interviewed people on the contribution of Obama's presidency on the modern American society. According to an African-American, Obama's administration was a fulfillment of Martin Luther King's dream. Obama's position serves as a legacy that will never be forgotten since he was the first man to challenge the prejudice of African-Americans viewed as incompetent. During Obama's era, he implemented policies that would empower people regardless of their race, and this made his era special. Apart from the constitutional perspective, Obama also inspired more Blacks to accomplish the things they believed they could confidently. Ethical diversity in the United States is a sensitive matter, and Obama grew up facing all the challenges attributed to belonging to a different culture. Therefore, Obama understood more about how other individuals were limited to opportunities and he intended to use his power as president to promote a culture of cohesiveness despite the global diversity.

However, being a president does not grant someone absolute control over everything. We interviewed a gay individual on their life in general, and he said that people still do not understand them. He further added that they should even be granted rights to marry formally without being discriminated by the society in general. However, it is not always a matter of law, but instead, it is a matter of how the community receives the go-ahead offered. We interviewed an elderly lady on the element of homosexuality, and she intensely criticized it. She added that it goes against religion and there is no scientific explanation on how homosexuality is a genetic condition. In other words, the society may give non-formal sanctions to gays, and this makes the motion on gay marriages a controversial matter. Gay marriages have for a long time been a controversial matter of discussion primarily because of the ideological differences between people of different ages. However, would it be right to declare constitutional rights to gay marriages? According to the young people we interviewed on homosexuality, it appeared that none of them believed that including it in the constitution would help the situation. Instead, it would encourage homosexuality.

While the government seeks to enact policies that help every individual, it would be necessary to consider the results of these policies. Matters such as racial equality contribute to mutual interdependence as well as the integration of the society. Even the existing prejudice on the black community is likely to be solved once people begin to receive the empowerment. Government policies should encourage empowerment to all individuals regardless of their races not only for the sake of racial equality but also as a vital step to curb the crime rate. Obama targeted conducting politics on a high moral plane with dignity and ideological differences. When we interviewed several middle-aged parents on their opinion on Obama's regime on the element of social integration, we recognized the fact that regardless of their race, they all thought of Obama as a great president. Their reaction is because Obama frequently refused to be inclined to addressing the matters affecting the black community since he claimed that he was not only elected to be the president of all Americans. Although black people protested for various legislation during Obama's regime, they did not go against his rule. The prejudices of racial limits were removed permanently from the minds of black people mainly because the Obama family ruled efficiently without scandals.

Conclusion

In the modern society, there are many controversial matters such as trans-gender, same-sex marriage, gender equity and racial equality. Governments should implement policies to guard the rights of citizens without brainwashing the society for a bad practice. Therefore, making it formal for the aforementioned controversial issues must be analyzed carefully to avoid cultivating the wrong culture for generations.
