Kamala Harris to start with has done a lot for the people of California. Some of her many achievements include; while she served as the state and district attorney general she geared for the implementation of the law that stated that if any parent fails in his or her responsibilities to the children, then he will have to face the consequences of the law. She supported the use of family DNA matching (Harris, 2019). That if the police officers would take DNA samples from the scenes of crime and go ahead to compare them, they will identify not only the direct matches but also the family matches. These samples would be compared with those in the testing companies. Harris advocated for seizing of any public assets when the investigations are still in progress. As district attorney of San Francisco, Harris came up with a program that was against recidivism that she expanded through funding when she became the state attorney general. She also supported the application for the law license of the illegal immigrants. She said that an ordinary immigrant who is not documented anywhere is not a criminal; he or she has violated no law. This bill was submitted in 2012, but the Supreme Court gave it a ruling in 2014. Her fight as a tough prosecutor in the state has aided a vital role in the rise of politics. This cuts across the whole of her career up to date.

Dianne Feinstein, on the other hand, has done a lot for her people. Some of the key things that she has accomplished include; in March 2017 came up with legislation to prevent the sex predators from harassing the young athletes. She came up with the law that made ease for the victims to report the abuse easily. She has successfully protected the religious institution act. This bill was passed to into law in September 2018. Senator Feinstein drafted the bill that would prevent the foreign powers from accessing and using sensitive United States technology (Jones, 2018). She fought against sex trafficking for her people. She together with Senator Cornyn geared for the signing of this bill in August 2018. In 2016, she protected the California desert by countering the invading drought season in the place. In 2015, Senator Feinstein had combated drug trafficking, banned different forms of torture, promoted information sharing between companies and the government and also she has led the fight against human trafficking. She has also played a great role in strengthening food safety in 2015.
