I take this opportunity to thank the people of Dallas for believing in me for the past term that I served in Congress. I maximized the opportunity I had and ensured that funds allocated for the people of Dallas were put to the best use, with the aim of improving the lives of the locals, as well as improving the kind of services available in public service providers like health care centers, schools, and roads. I have a strong belief that if my people in Dallas give me another opportunity, I will be in a position to complete what I had started.

As my people from Dallas know, I was part of the team that was actively involved in the support for the declaration of war against Germany. I believed and still hold on the belief that our country is equipped with resources and able-bodied individuals that can help position and place our nation as a winner despite the enemies we face. It is within our right to protect the pride and position we hold as a super-power in the world. Given this, I also believed that the Selective Service Act would assist the recruitment process in the military (Holt 4). This is because we have young men that are willing and able to serve in the war. Our country has fully invested in the training of personnel that will take part in the war. I congratulate the young men that are willing to join the military as they show their solidarity and support for our country. Their service and dedication are highly appreciated.

I would like to remind the people of Dallas that I love the young people of our state and this was proven by my contribution in the Eighteenth Amendment that prohibited the manufacture, sale, and transportation of alcohol (Endersby 511). Young people have a future, and we have a responsibility of protecting their innocence. As a leader, I have an obligation of ensuring that our young people do not access products that will harm their lives both in the short-term and in the long-term. I believe that all of us are affected by the negative effects of alcohol in one way or another.

I at this moment tender my interest and support for the Nineteenth Amendment which will give females of certain legal age the right to vote. I believe that despite our society is patriarchal and male-dominated, women have a role to play in the decision-making process. This is because most of our young men have been posted to take part in the war, and most families will be led by women. This justifies the idea that women have leadership qualities, and their ability to make decisions on behalf of their young families is an illustration that they can contribute to national matters that affect all citizens. My vote will be of supporting the idea of having women take part in the voting process.

Texas voters will have a stable environment where they can rebuild their lives despite the economic and financial distress they had to have in the past two years. With a second chance, I will ensure that locals in my jurisdiction will have a safe environment where they can bring up their young families.
