Since President Donald Trump came into power the U.S./Mexican Border and Homeland Security policy has faced disputes. This follows after the U.S government deployed both virtual and physical measures in securing its citizens from cartels and smugglers of illegal drugs (Cortina, 2019). The major emphasis laid on the use of computer technology a virtual component in security to enhance geographical ground-level radar of the U.S border. Additionally, fences and walls instituted in the Mexican border guarantees security considering the security threats impounded by immigrants on the U.S citizens (Jones, 2018).

The United States Department of Homeland Security has a progam that enables the government to establish as well as verify the identity of the travelers when they are visiting the country (Fernandez, 2017). Any traveler crossing the United States-Mexico border goes through the procedure of a thorough check to ensure that they do not mean any harm. The visit pocess in the US also shows that there is the inclusion of the collection of the digital fingerprints of the travelers as well as photographs (Garcia, 2019).

The purpose of this research is to examine the impact of the U.S/Mexican border and Homeland security.

This is evident in a case where immigrants used to take up jobs meant for the U.S citizens and as a result, many youths remained unemployed. Immigrants are fond of taking up jobs of low pay thereby, U.S low pay workers remain unemployed (Carter & Poast, 2017). Furthermore, a proposed wall area for entry on key points enhances healthy trading whereby the government gets an opportunity to get tax from traders. This tax is essential in funding government programs and in the realization of economic prosperity. The U.S/Mexican border and security have led to a reduction in illegal people, drugs, contrabands and weapons (Payan, 2016). Terrorist inversion in the U.S has since stopped and no longer a discussion in the government. Drugs use among teenagers has since seized thereby the number of school dropouts has significantly declined. Furthermore, contraband goods and Opioids flow in the country has significantly declined and alternative ways designed in pain management among patients.

Furthermore, the wall has enhanced national sovereignty whereby U.S citizens are proud of being in their country and moreover, they are inclined to serve their country with due diligence (Heyer, 2018). A secured country is a peaceful county that embraces its culture and norms. Citizens thus are obliged in ensuring no illegal immigrants are accepted in the country without legal documents and entry.

The wall is essential in the elimination of criminal behaviors due to the tight security in the borders that controls possession of weapons (Verney, 2019). This in return has encouraged international trading because a peaceful county is an ideal place for doing business and increased trading on imports and exports necessitating huge returns and creation of employment opportunities to the citizens (Becker, 2018). Furthermore, the wall forms a basis for promoting legal trading and traveling there by this discourages illegalities that formerly where cared in market places and thereby encouraging moral conduct in businesses.

The wall has brought about inventions and innovation in the technological field. Several ideas have emerged in the most effective ways of monitoring illegal people in the country. Therefore, border security technological tools have been adopted for instance radar, infrared sensors, cameras and scanners which have effectively ensured effective security monitoring in the borders (Andersen & Bergmann, 2019). Sensors are often instituted on grounds next to the wall thereby coordinating and syncing information in the security departments.

Moreover, the deployment of security in the borders and the construction of the walls as created employment opportunities to the citizens leading to improved living standards and a reduction in crime rates among the unemployed (Heer, 2018). The wall construction has increased faith and trust in the government since this creates a feeling of service to the people. This has registered cases where citizens are taking initiatives taking part in community development programs in ensuring the.

In conclusion, it is true that the wall has positively impacted on the American citizens considering the fact that it has enhanced legal trading and traveling, economic prosperity, enhanced homeland security, economic prosperity and ensured national sovereignty.
