The Bible states that God created everything perfectly, and there is no blemish in everything that God has created; at the same time, genetic engineering shows how humans use God-given knowledge to continue with his work.

What are the limits of science?

In determining the extent of scientific interventions into human activities, it is essential to examine the doctrines that guide human operations and Christians. God's doctrines remind human beings that he is the ultimate creator, and he transcends all the activities involved in maintaining and sustaining human beings. God started to make the universe through Jesus, and it is his son that continues human activities everywhere. According to the Book of Hebrews, "Jesus sustains all things by his powerful word' (Hebrews 1:2-3, The New King James Version). Hence, everything that is created by Jesus real together by him. In the Book of Colossians;' "by Jesus and 'in him, all things hold together in the present "(Colossians 1:16-17, The New King James Version). Paul also reminds his listeners about the idea of 'killed the author of life' (Acts 3:15; The New King James Version). Genetic engineering involves biological diversification of the DNA (Regalado, 2016). It is important to see God's son and work in every detail, which is impossible to realize in biological diversification. Despite the exotic nature of these diversifications, they prevent human beings from seeing the handiwork of God and his mysterious operations. God created people in His image, according to the Book of genesis. "He created human beings are made in God's image "(Genesis 1:26-7, The New King James Version). It is vital to have the special value of his work reflected in nature.

On the contrary, genetic engineering can also be said to align with God's work. As a Christian, the value of human beings continues by showing the responsibility that they have towards preserving God's creation. God has given every human being the power and knowledge to take care of what he created. Such ideas can be found in the Book of Genesis. Modifying genetic variation is one way of showing what human beings can do as a representation of God's creation. People are given the power by God to explore different ideas in the world, and genetic engineering through the modification of DNA is one of these gifts. People can edit the embryo (Connor, 2017). The presence of Sin in the world also shows Christians that God's will is not fully represented in the whole world. God's intentions and not reflected in the lives of the people because of Sin. People have to strive every day to clean themselves before the Lord, showing that there is a need to have knowledge about human existence and how to do things right in the eyes of God. A similar argument can be used to support genetic engineering as God's intentions are not reflected a hundred percent in the whole world; man, beings of responsibility to change things.

In brief, how far genetic engineering and how far science can go to modify the work of God will always remain a subject debate. Christians may have different opinions depending on their point of reasoning. From one point, the modification of the DNA interferes with God's creation and his promise of maintaining everything according to His plans. On the other hand, it is one of the ways of continuing with god creation and using the knowledge that God Gave a man to sustain himself.
