The research topic is fake news and the sources I related to the search topic by way of pointing out fake news and the impact of fake news on the society, and the individual image. For example, the blog reported that fake news taints the images of the people who are maligned in the news but also pointed out that the content termed fake news might be the only solution to the societal problems. The article has particularly delineated the impact of president Trump's labeling of The Post as a fake new company to undermine the credibility of the media houses because it is the only media house that has failed to further his propaganda. The Post is maligned by the president because it is holding the trump administration to account. The article, therefore, helps in developing an objective and balanced view of every news instead of accepting the news in its subjective form.

Is the source current? If so, how will the information be used for your topic? If not, are you still able to use the information if the content is dated? How?

The source is current since it was published in April 2018 and the contents still resonate with most of the fake news propaganda in the mainstream media. The information will be used for the topic by helping in critical evaluation of all the contents posted online by looking at both sides of the news. For example, instead of reading and reporting the contents published in prose, the researcher would use the news to find a rebuttal for any fake news reporting, an in-depth analysis, and objective evaluating of the content published on the media is useful as it helps not only in reporting by also improving the credibility of the blogs,. It is also important to note that by taking a neutral stand on any content can help a researcher improve the credibility of his content (The Editorial Board, 2018). By attaching relevant examples, and reliable content from other sources, my research's credibility, and reliability would also improve. The content may be dated by the information would still be useful because

Who is the author or organization? Do they have the credentials or experience to publish this content? Do you sense any bias from the author?

The author of the article was this The Editorial Board of the New York Times. Then board has credentials and the experiences to publish op-ed content. There is no bias from the author because they have aired an objective and fair view of the top of the fake news. While they focused so much on the cake news cries made by Donald Trump, they have also given a positive view of the fake news comments made by the same and any objective reader will easily understand that there is no bias but fair reporting.

Can the information be trusted? Does the information include citations and sources?

The information can be trusted because they have also referenced other credible sources. Most of the information they presented to support their views and opinions were from the public domains which mean that the readers can easily access and cross-reference the content. The audiences also access other material that either supports or refutes the opinions. The authors have also included a citation for most of the comments they made in the publication which would be effective in evaluating the reliability of the contents.

What is the purpose of this resource? Who do you think the intended audience is and why do you think the author wrote the book for this audience?

The purpose of the source was to examine and convince the audiences about the true damage of Trump's 'Fake News". The author wrote the article to help the audiences understand that trump's fake new may be sugar-coated to attract sympathy. The audiences were everyone in American with interest in politics.

If you had to rate this source (1 being "poor - doesn't apply well to your research and 5 being "excellent resource I would use for my topic), what would you rate it? Explain.

I would rate it 4 because it is not excellent but offers a better support for the research topics. It would be useful in completing the literature review on the fake news research.
