Introduction
Dwayne Douglas Johnson, popularly known as The Rock born on 2nd May 1972. He is one of the biggest and loved movie stars in Hollywood and also recognized worldwide as one of the best actors. An American- Canadian actor who has been in the theatre for long, and currently, he is among the top best actors in the industry. Johnson is not only an actor but also a producer and a retired professional wrestler who worked for the world wrestling federation for eight years before pursuing an acting career. He was born into professional wrestling before an injury ended his football career in college then he entered the world wrestling federation as 'The Rock.' In his wrestling career, he won the WWE heavyweight title numerous times. He left WWE and parlayed his wrestling fame into a film career, appearing in projects like 2001 The Mummy returns, which lead him to lead roles in the Fast and Furious And Jumanji.
The rock is one of the best actors that I know given his sense of humor is on another level. He even arches an eyebrow, to remind his fans of the Rock's world. His movies are always amazing and better than the previous ones. His acting career continued to thrive through his appearance in films such as Fast and Furious 2013. In 2015, The Rock dominated the screen with two big action films Furious Seven and San Andreas. In the same year, he did his first dramatic comedy series on Ballers and rocked it as well. Ballers show ran for five seasons and was ranked as HBO's most-watched comedy in six years. He teamed up with Kevin Hart for an action-comedy Central Intelligence, which turned out well. They both made a perfect combo to an extent they preceded and appeared in Jumanji together, which the actor's highest-grossing film to date is. Johnson went on and voiced for the Disney animated hit Mauna.
In 2016 Johnson was the highest-paid actor in the world. Forbes went ahead and listed him among the top 25 of their top 100 most powerful celebrities. His masculine stature and fitness, which makes him with good looks, awarded him the man of the century. In the year 2001, he was awarded the teen choice award for film choice The Mummy Returns. In 2013, he bagged the award for favorite male butt-kicker, Journey to the Mysterious Island. He was also nominated for shorty award for best actor in the year 2016, NAACP image award for entertainer of the year in 2017, the Teen choice award for choice movie actor comedy Jumanji in 2018). In 2019 he received the MTV Generation award.
The movie star has a list of upcoming films which he will be starring. He has also attached himself to various projects, which seems like they will keep him in the blockbuster business for years. In 2017, rumors were generated by buzz sources suggesting that Johnson was planning to run for president in 2020. In December, he confirmed the story on Ellen's show. Well, the industry hopes that if at any cost he goes for it, they hope that he will not leave the industry since he is a real shining star in the industry. True to his moniker name, The Rock does not need anybody to shine; he does it in his ways. Johnson and his fans will always remember his rise to fame as the rock.
