In my educational journey, I have had several achievements that have shaped my life up-to-date. The most notable of those is the attainment of a scholarship for my PHD course. Additionally, the completion of my MBA is another achievement that I hold in high regard. Making it through the undergraduate up to the current PhD encompassed a lot of rough roads and enormous challenges. However, I managed to sail through courtesy of my determination and hard work. Further, I have worked in different organizations and in different portfolios prior to the position that I occupy today. As a result, I have set out several short term and long term goals that I will endeavor to achieve in the future. The following paragraphs will outline some of my important short and long term goals that I will work towards in the course of my career.
Short Term Goals
Short term goals are the objectives that I seek to achieve in the near future. One of those goals is to successfully complete my PhD course. In this regard, I will continue putting more efforts so that I succeed in every step of this course. Additionally, I will ensure that I involve any stakeholders who can be helpful in this course. The other short term goal is to apply the skills that I will achieve in this course in the organization that I work in. In this regard, I will strive to improve through the application of the additional practical skills that I am getting from this course. Motivating others at work is another career goal that forms part of my objectives. In this regard, I will motivate the juniors in my organization to further their studies and attain better their skills that could make them more qualified and hence more competitive (Monster Career Advice, 2016). Further, it will be my objective in the near future to climb up the career ladder. This will be possible because of the extra skills that I will obtain upon the completion of this PhD course. My mastery of the financial matters will make me a very competitive individual in the financial profession.
Long Term Goals
The utmost long term goal is to transform the organization that I will work in at any particular time in my career. In this regard, I will maximize on my expertise of financial matters and indeed make sound decisions that in the long run will be very beneficial to the development and success of the organization. The other long term career goal is to achieve the highest position in the organization that I will work for. In this case, I will be contented as having completed the full cycle of my professional life. Additionally, this will make me make the most critical decisions of the organization. Further, I will set strategies that will be a success for the organization and the clients. Financial independence is a goal that I will seek to achieve in the long run. In this case, I will ensure that before I retire, I will have saved enough for my family. This will save me any stress that might arise out of financial difficulties and strains. Having achieved that, I will sure enough be contented with my professional journey and can thereby confidently wait for my last day in the world.
