The best method of delivering products in a timely manner is through designing a processing process that will bring about the minimum processing time of an order. In the case that the manufacture is achieving a long cycle period than required, the organization can study and explore the current process and use initiatives of quality improvement to improve the manufacturing process. The best quality improvement initiatives are six sigma, lean sigma, and total quality management. Using either of the above initiatives will help the company's manufacturing department to improve the quality process by highlighting the flaws of the process.

The paper thesis is providing advice to improve the current situation at the department of manufacturing. There has been a one case study of the current order processing to give an insight into the inefficiency. Six Sigma is a quality improvement initiative that is used to create advice.

Background of the Study

The processor is a leading and a trusted one. The facility is located in the Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The company has a long history in facing limitations in respect to the order processing, and efforts has been underway to remove these flaws. The manufacturer apparently realized errors in relation to the order, the first quarter of 2014. In an attempt to resolve this issue the company conducted a continuous improvement (CI). Errors relating to the order were reduced. As a result of the CI, the company realized a better visibility of the orders. After conquering that problem the manufacturing department experienced another problem that related to the differing intergration rules between databases that were used to store and place orders. An additional CI event was held. But before that, the company realized that the processing cycle of the orders time was high than the desired. This can negatively impact on the client's experience, carrying out research on this issue was more aggressive. Even though the department had previously conducted CI to improve order processing. It has not been performed on the entire process. The investigation pertains how the company will use the concept of six sigma in the manufacturing department.

Statement of the of the Problem

Producing quality goods help businesses to remain relevant and competitive but there are other key factors that impact to the wellbeing of an organization in a specified market. The period of the time it take an order to be produced can affect the organization through delays which can make them not to achieve their objects. The manufacturing process for each customer request is taking on average five days to be processed. This taints the downstream process efficiency and effectiveness. This delay affects all the other key areas of the business

Purpose of the Study

Is to examine the utilization of six sigma in an attempt to improve the food processing plants order processing.

Research Question

Why is the processing company processing plant order processing is inefficient?

How can the flaws be measured?

Significance of the Study

The project is significant to the food manufacturing plant and the whole food processing industry and future researchers.

Definition of Terms

CI (Continuous improvement)

It is information led perspective and method analysis used to tackle issues and improve process.

Customer

Any person who purchase an output.

Downstream.

Activities that follow the main activity.

Input

Is a resource provided by a supplier.

Organization of the Study

This proposal is composed into five sections. Every part assumes an indispensable part in showing the investigation. The principal part gives a prologue to the examination. This section talks about the foundation, issue explanation, reason, look into questions, centrality, meaning of terms, suppositions, constraints, and delimitations related with the investigation. The second part gives points of interest concerning Six Sigma, and Six Sigma process change and introduces an audit of the writing that was concentrated to give a hypothetical premise to this examination. The third part points of interest the system that was utilized to finish the examination. The implementation of the Six Sigma contextual analysis is definite in the fourth part. Lastly conclusion is on the last chapter.

Review of the Related Literature

The methodical writing survey approach utilized as a part of this paper permits rising patterns and issues in Six Sigma to be featured in an organized and topical way, empowering the future work to advance as Six Sigma keeps on creating and advance. The discoveries likewise open up new chances to apply Six Sigma in the fields that are not generally investigated before, for example, manageability and productservice frameworks.

Methodology

The methodology used is DMAIC: Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control. Each step uses particular tools to assist assess the major cause of process inefficiency and provide solutions that will improve the process.

Define

As indicated by Stern, the primary goal in the Define Phase is to elucidate and record the procedure change objective"

Measure

As indicated by Stern (2016), "The primary motivation behind the Measure Phase is to set up a reasonable as-is image of where the current procedure is at the moment and to ensure the apparatuses used to gauge the action are solid and legitimate"

Analyze

As indicated by Stern (2016), "The goal of the Analyze Phase is to leave the stage with three to five strong process change arrangements"

Improve

As indicated by Stern (2016), "The primary reason for the Improve Phase is to illustrate, with realities and information, that the arrangements take care of the issue"

Control

As per Stern (2016), "The Control Phase is intended to guarantee that the issue does not repeat and that the new procedure can be additionally enhanced after sometime"

Analysis and Results

This part gives insights about the implementation and work of the Six Sigma DMAIC. Characterize, measuring, and analyzing are the Phases utilized for the contextual analysis. The part starts by showing comes about because of leading the Define Phase.

Recommendation

Investigating the present procedure uncovered a high variation inside the order processing process. With an end goal to monitor the various future process, the food manufacturing plant can utilize Statistical Process Control (SPC) graphs.

Legal Consideration

In this stage on the application of the six sigma, the company should consider all the necessary legal framework and make sure that the application is in line with the existing laws and procedures. The management observed all the legal requirements in the process of applying the CI.

Time Schedule

The schedule time frame of the installation of six sigma was met. There work assessment work was completed on time and necessary recommendation made.

Conclusion

The use of Six Sigma determined the main driver of process wastefulness, what's more, make suggestions for enhancing the request preparing process at a car fabricating office
