Introduction

China has made significant progress in economic growth and national development standing as a regional power significant in the global center. China is emerging in the economics, military and politics if substantially modifying the current state in the pacific rim. The development requires the policymakers in the United States to get contextual insights into the shaping of imperatives of China. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the strategic endstate sought by China and America and policy actions the U.S. to continue or consider regarding China to achieve the endstate.

The Strategic Endstate Sought by Both the U.S and China

Leaders from both the United States and China need to discuss collaborating on issues that deal with transnational challenges with a significant need for both nations. The nations need to develop the right balance between competition and cooperation. Policymakers of the two countries need to have a contextual understanding of the structure and design of both nations and what drives them economically, politically, and imperatives of the military (Campbell & Sullivan, 2019).

The United States and China should work to reinitiate military-to-military programs and security cooperation through focusing less on the collaboration of security and more on the management of protection through a limited partnership, gathering information, and dialogue minimizing conflict chances and misconceptions. The countries need to work together and avoid competition, which leads to more strife between them delaying the attainment of strategic endstate. The policies of China need to be about the kind of relationship the United States want to have and the kind of interest the United States want to secure. The Unites states need to develop favorable coexistence terms with China in crucial areas namely global governance, political, economic, and military domains.

Actions U.S. Needs to Consider

The United States needs to form alliances with its traditional allies with the removal of tariffs, minimize payments on the bases of the military, and to get close and to acknowledge critical agreements and institutions. The United States need to adhere to the designed and structured rules in institutions such as the World Bank and the World Trade Organization on such topics as trade, dispute resolution, transparency, and freedom of navigation. The U.S. needs to rejoin these institutions to form a long-term leeway and have long term influence within the institutions (Campbell & Sullivan, 2019). The rejoining of the institutions will help in strengthening deterrence, solve global challenges, defend universal values, and develop reciprocal and fairer systems of trade.

The United States needs to embrace high sped strike weapons, guided-missile submarines, self-driven underwater vehicles, and long-range strike aircraft that are self-driven carriers. The sharp weaponry is to provide defense for the United States in case of a rife between them and China. It puts the forces of the United States past the precise strike from China. The United States could diversify the presence of the military towards Southeast Asia by utilizing the access agreements and reduce based permanently (Johnson, 2009). Policymakers in the United States need to have a contextual understanding of the effect of the strategic culture of the Chinese that influence decision making in China.

The Actions United States needs to continue

The United States needs to increase the input of funds for the necessary research in science and add more investment in computing power, artificial intelligence, biotechnology and clean energy. The federal government of the United States should improve education investments in all categories and infrastructure. Also, it should utilize policies of immigration that continuously facilitate the U.S. skills and demographic advantage. In terms of decision making, America needs to e humble in making the decision-making ability in Washington, determining the direction of long-term progress. The strategy of America needs to be durably seeking to attain end state to coexist on favorable terms of the United States' values and interests.
