Quantitative methods

This is the most commonly used method of research it includes both questions and hypothesis. However this design puts emphasis on measurements and numerical analysis of the collected data (Creswell, 2013). In this case I am going to discuss descriptive questions which starts with words like how and what, however quantitative research examines only a single group of people and variable. For instance

Questions

How many Americans use the internet today?

Group-Americans

Variable-internet

How often do university students in America upload photos on Instagram in a month?

Group-university students

Variable- monthly Instagram usage

What percentage of American university students both male and female spend most of their time on social media?

Group-American university students (male and female).

Variable- Spend most of their time on social media.

However the following hypothesis come with the questions

Hypothesis

It's not known how many Americans use the internet today.

There are no negative correlations between the university students in America and Instagram.

Most of the female university students in America spend most of their time on social media.

Qualitative research questions

This method answers the questions of what and why (Hodgkin, & Huxley, 1952). This method however involves interpreting certain phenomena and has the assumption that nothing is right or wrong, this method does not have hypothesis since the researcher discovers the meanings once they get immersed with the data (Creswell, & Clark, 2007). For instance:

Questions

How do Russian women deal up with domestic violence?

How members of the Manchester do united football club experience defeat?

Why do most of the American students show in-group prejudice?

Mixed methods research design

This method gives a combination of both qualitative and quantitative research hypothesis however descriptive method of research in mixed methodologies determines the main aim for this research (Hair, 2007). This method of research provides a rationale for possible assumptions and hypothesis For instance:

What percentage of women in Russia experience domestic violence and how do they deal with the violence?

What is the implications of Apes 110 code of conduct Act on insurance companies in Australia?

How many university students in America have dropped out in their second years in campus?
