Introduction

The policy states for a student to apply for eight- week extension per course, he or she must make satisfactory progress. The student is required to submit the Request for Extension form for certification one week to end date of the term to the course mentor and an extension fee to get a course extension, (TESU, 2019). The mentor should certify that 50% of the work has been completed then submits the form to the Office of the Registrar. The Office of the Registrar then processes the application and notifies the student the date when the extension will end. In case of a severe illness, the student may apply for the second extension, which will be submitted to the Dean of the program, which the student enrolled (TESU, 2019). If a student is having financial hardship, he or she can apply for course extensions.

Course Withdrawals and Refunds Policy at TESU

The course withdrawal policy is found on the course manual, and the request can be processed online or made on the Request for Course Withdrawal Form. The request must be submitted before the end term date. The application is not processed if it is sent after the course has officially ended (TESU, (n.d). Must include all the details such as your name, course code, course name, the mentor's name, among others, when writing Course withdrawals request. Refunds will be processed 14 days after the course withdrawal has been received at the office of the registrar. A student can apply for course withdrawal and refund if he or she has a military deployment.

Transfer Credit Policy at TESU

In case one transfers from a regionally accredited community college, he or she can apply up to 90 credits (TESU, (n.d). Transfer credit can be used to fulfill all the degree requirements except the two required courses (SOS-110 Critical Information Literacy and Capstone Course). In case the student transferred from a regionally accredited four-year institution (TESU, (n.d). The credit can be accepted in case a student studied in more than one regionally accredited institution. A student can apply for the credit transfer if he to study for a Ph.D. in a subject at TESU.

Policy Against Discrimination and Harassment at TESU

If a student has been discriminated against or harassed by a mentor or College staff member, he or she should file a complaint with the University's Title IX Coordinator and Equity/Diversity Office Heather Brooks (TESU, (n.d). If harassed by another student, he or she should file a complaint with the Office of the Associate Vice President and the University Registrar. The claim can only be submitted if he or she suspects he has been subjected to engage in any course of alarming conduct.

Submission of Fraudulent Documents Policy at TESU

All documents submitted to the university supporting admission or academic evaluation must be valid, and if forged, the student is subjected to sanction by the university (TESU,(n.d). If found guilty the admission is suspended or banned and the student expelled or suspended. There is loss of academic credit that the student earned while registered under forged documents. A student can be admitted with a forged academic credit if he or she did not qualify to go to university.
