Introduction

The historical development of religion creates specific social and economic situations; this thus forms a threshold between two worlds. To many people, religion is considered space where individuals/groups are connected to various realities through a mediating power. It is a treasure and a guide for those inside faith since it gives direction to believers who are fearful, hopeful, and have blessings. However, a term such as profane is not devoted to religious purposes but it explains the behavior of people who do things that are obscene to religious teachings, for instance, pornography (Eliade n.p). There is also a term, sacred that embodies the doctrines and rules of religion. The paper will discuss in detail the meaning of a sacred place and also explore the facets of religion in society, the country, and the world.

Referring to the book of 2nd Corinthians 7:1, a sacred space is a place purified or set apart from filthiness; it is preserved for the purposes of worship or considered worthy for spiritual respect (Morris III 164). In preparation for creating my own sanctuary, I chose a part in my community park as my special space. Reasons, why the space is so special to me, include: it is cool and green hence helps to aid attention, restoration and contributes to positive emotions. Also, there is no disturbance or noise; this promotes social support thereby enhancing social engagement. The part in my community park will be considered holy because it is rarely visited as I will set it aside for the purposes of sacred activities.

There is a debate about belief in one God only, is the original form of religion that is, in the beginning, there was one God. In connection to the theory of creationism, Morris III asserts that the physical universe was created by one creator God, who has been in existence since eternity (56). They denounce that different kinds of life were created based on three tenets, which include scientific, biblical, and scientific biblical creationism. Scientific creationism relies specifically on the use of scientific data to expound on the creation model whereas biblical emphasizes the use of biblical knowledge to expound on creation. There are many stories about religion, for example, how religion enables people to speak for themselves, how it gives them a voice of an interpreter and the coloring of their prejudices.

Creationism theory helps individuals to understand what religion means, setting a common ground that works for all believers (Blancke et al. 4) However since people have different behaviors, it is important to create a balance between what is profane and the sacred. For example, during the time of Moses, some parts were hedge while others were not; this is seen when God told Moses to remove his shoes because a place where he was standing was holly (Morris III 52). It is a religion that brings all people to one God, makes them feel better, and maintain sacredness in places where they should keep joy. Some practices, which are not the narratives of creation do not have a right to explain and indicate the major surfaces of the surface. Also, stories such as that of the ark help explain and reverberate the discipline involved in defining creationism theory. Food appeared to be managed that way since it described a cabin in a box of removing boxes in the name of seduction. The bible is the type of powerful tenet, whose power should secure the success of any form of religion.
