Reeny recalls the endless rift between her neighbors and mother for her adoption. She accounts name-calling became a part of her usual experiences. Reeny understands that her colleagues are sufficiently describing the concept of adoption to her in disguise. Reeny's insight has seen her maneuver through all odds including isolation at school. Rumors mongers from the neighborhood have had everyone in her school realize that irrespective of Reeny being the only child of the Blacks family, she remains an outsider. She wonders the aggravated concern that people have in her life. Occasionally, she faces weird criticisms to the extent of her colleagues in school rebuke her and state that she lacks legalities to live with the family even to inherit the Blacks' wealth. Realistically, the unconditional love she gets from her mother acts as an anchor to overcome the psychological and emotional distress from the rampant name-calling. Reeny has found solace in yoga and used the sessions to meditate often. Her mother makes fun of her every weekend by telling her that she will always walk bow-legged.

Mrs. Black acknowledges the huge challenge to raise her only daughter amidst the rejection she faces. She views Reeny as her own and acknowledges the need to forego luxurious living to meet her basic needs. However, it is so intriguing how the Blacks raise Reeny as their child irrespective of terming it a huge responsibility. At first, Reeny' s dad could experience resentment toward the child to the extent of disowning her since she wasn't her flesh, but his wife was constantly reminding him that it was a decision they unanimously made. At times there was so much internal resentment towards the child until the dad did devise ways of controlling it. Resentment could lead to evil thoughts cementing in the brain leading to homicide. It's a mental disorder unfavorable in the family; it is a toxic ingredient within the family.

Surprisingly, the Blacks also experience strange pressures besides the responsibility to raise Reeny as their child. Often, Reeny's mother cites uneasiness explaining to other people about her family situation. She acknowledges the difficulty convincing her immediate relatives to accept the adopted child. Consequently, she understands that it is not for the world to have insights but for the people involved to understand. She wonders why extended family members and Reeny's colleagues poke into her family affairs. It becomes surprising that the source of ideas on how best to adopt has turned against her. She consoles herself that perhaps every relative expected her to adopt from within their extended family. She finds solace in that other families similar experience. For that reason, she devotes to navigate against the challenges and raise Reeny by showing her the best motherly love she had missed in her upbringing.

Interestingly, Reeny message during this year's adoption day spoke well of her mother as a reason for steadfast parenting. Reeny cited the strong bond she has with her mother that shields her from the name-calling, ridicule, and resentment. She demonstrates how her mother won her dad's heart to love her. The latter became the strengthened reminder that she should believe in herself. "Dad also reminds me that am capable of anything like a dragon," Reeny said. The Blacks hardened her to be an all-around lady capable of withstanding the social pressure. Additionally, they did succeed at creating awareness that life is always full of impediments. Apparently, Reeny has insights that she has the power to choose the type of reaction towards what comes her way. Thanks to her parents who through thick and thin were always there for her. On another letter, Reeny wrote her parents the following message, "Good morning mom and dad; I am grateful to my mother who gave birth to me for loving me immensely to make a heightened sacrifice. It's the best gift for me to be in a position to say. I now originate from the unconditional love you have shown me.

Consequently, this is emotional from a young girl to her parents; it was particularly so overwhelming to her mother that she shed tears of joy. Reeny's mother had never had such an experience with Reeny and never knew how the little girl did perceive their reception. To her utter dismay, Reeny was always grateful to amazing parents. Adoption day was full of hugs and smiles. Families were full of excitement as the adopted kids gave gifts to their parents including Reeny who did purchase a pair of exquisite custom earrings for her mother.

Reeny's mother did take the risk of adopting even after her neighbor died in a brawl with her adopted son. She said, "It was traumatizing visualizing how my child could kill a parent as a consequence of a secret." As a result, I did I purpose to explain the details to our daughter as I love so much to lose her to such negligence," She said reaching for her wet wipes to cool her face.

It's impressive how impediments occur in life and influence a person's life for a lifetime like Reeny's mother. It is as a result of experiencing her neighbor's son heinous act that she did realize the importance of unfolding secrets in the family. "I did yearn to prevent such an act at all costs," Reeny's mother said. "Reeny is my pride she gives hope every day, and if a day passes without hearing her voice, I feel a desire to reach out for her, especially when I attend a conference I always call her and her nanny." It's vivid that the bond between the mother and her daughter is healthy similar to the ionic bonding in chemistry.

The Blacks family shows that impediments will always be there in life; it is up to us to discern what matters in life. In fact, one has to live to the standards one chooses. Conversely, motivation and inspiration are significant. Also, it is worth focusing on what is essential and urgent. Reeny celebrated how the motherly love overcame the resentment that initially with her dad. She acknowledges the latter of playing the father figure and hardening her to withstand critics.
