Introduction
Personal values are the qualities one considers valuable and act as the driving force of their lives. These values are more important than other qualities and dictate how an individual behaves in certain situations. These are my core values.
These values are the result of my upbringing and development, my principles, socialization, and the culture I live in. This essay will discuss my core beliefs and how they impact my daily choices, actions, and plans.
What are my values in life?
Achievement is one of my most important educational values. Because I believe that my greatest assets are my determination to succeed, and my desire to contribute to society through my work, this is why I have chosen to focus on achievement. Because success and achievement are closely linked in today's society, I consider achievement to be one of my most important values. Because education is one avenue where one can prove one's worth, it is one of my most prized achievements.
I value my friendships and strive to build them. Good friends are able to help one reach his/her goals and can often be even closer than family. This is why I spend a lot of effort and time with my friends. It is a priority for me to be there at the most important moments in my friends lives, such as their wedding day and baby christening ceremonies. I also make sure to check on their health regularly.
Personal development and growth are fundamental values to me and they have a huge impact on my life. My life isn't worth much if it doesn't allow me to improve my achievements and become a better person. I am able to see the value in personal growth and development as a major factor in my daily life, especially when it is about establishing new relationships. My rule is that I shouldn't waste my time looking into new relationships if they don't add value to my life.
Human life will continue to be filled with needy people. On a personal level, I try to help the less fortunate. A life that makes a difference in someone's life is a life that has been lived well. This has been my philosophy all through my life. I strive to make a difference in others' lives every day. Therefore, helping others is something I value both in myself and in others.
Modern day living has led to a decrease in the value and importance of family. However, it is still very important to me that my family remains intact. Family members are those who stand beside you in any situation and support you through all of life's challenges.
Although I recognize that my family might not always be supportive and ideal, I have found my family to be close knit and stand up for me. When making decisions, I always keep my family in my mind and think about how they will be affected by my actions. Before making major decisions in my own life, I seek the guidance of family members who are more knowledgeable than me.
The argument has been made that honest men are the dying breed. In capitalist society, profits and personal gain are the main objectives. This is true. It is easy to overlook the means one uses to succeed. As such, the end justifies the means.
I hold honesty as one my core values, even in such a hostile environment. This is largely due to my upbringing, where honesty was celebrated and dishonesty avoided. It is a feeling that I find unrivaled in satisfaction when you achieve success through honesty.
Because of my upbringing, religion is something I deeply value. Engaging in a religious organization is one of my spiritual values. Although most of my religious beliefs are a result my upbringing, they have become my own. I consider it my personal responsibility to participate in my religious organization.
This helps me feel more balanced and allows me to be more thoughtful and grateful in my daily life. Because my religious values influence my decision-making, I avoid making decisions that are against my religious beliefs.
Conclusion
This paper identifies some of my values. These values have an impact on my choices and the actions I take. After deep reflection on my values, it became clear that they greatly influence how I treat others and how I prioritize matters. My values have made me a stronger person and I'm able to work harder to attain the things I desire in life.
