Introduction

Art explains something, exists for a reason, and communicates a particular message. There is always a reason for anything, and the artworks in different places do have a thing they represent. Any piece of work makes one think about something. It can be the people who made the piece of work or the motive behind it. Art represents creativity. It represents what the people had or experienced at some point or even an event that happened. Some of the artworks were made many years back, and it explains that the people back then were creative enough to create those masterpieces.

Responses to a Piece of Art

The artwork's appearance is the number one thing that catches the attention of many people. The many artworks in modern history are made of clay or even wood. The artwork can appear strong, weak, and dusty, but it communicates something fundamental. The artwork can send a specific message from the way it appears. It indeed creates a mental image of the idea behind it. For example, if one sees the Statue of Freedom of the United States, it tells many things. One gets a mental picture of how the individual was excited—the achievement they celebrated and how it meant to them.

Important of Formal Qualities & Content

The content is significant in everything. The artwork carries a message, and it is important to try and digest the message first. The message the art tells is worth what makes it installed in the first place. The formal qualities do not matter much because the most important thing is to communicate. The people who create the artwork are interested in passing the message, which is why some are unique. The message that the artwork carries is what many need to know. It forms its purpose for existence. For example, the Statue of Freedom serves as a reminder of peace and liberty to the American people (Crawford). It helps the Americans to remember the struggle which the founding fathers went through. The content of the artwork is more important than the formal qualities. The formalities do not matter for art, but the message it carries matters.

The users of the information are interested in what the art says. How it appears but the material used to make it do not matter. Studying art is good because it is one of the rarest topics of discussion. Saving history using artwork is one of the excellent methods. It makes it easy to remember, and it is interesting. Many things come to mind when one sees an artwork. The appearance might not be an issue as the content would be. Many people want to know why artwork exists. Answering this question quenches the thirst of many art lovers. In a nutshell, the appearance of the artwork sends a message. The content of the art is what many focus on rather than the material. The sample example that many people know about is the Statue of Freedom.
