Surrealist Intranet (SNET)
Surrealist Intranet (SNET) refers a collection of locally based networks that have been creation and structuring of the local Cubans minus the assistance coming from the government. To ensure the implementation of this network, Weissenstein, (2015) demonstrated that there must be a computer, switch and small electronic type of device that allow for direct connection of computer with other six or many computers available in the outlet. One of the computers is always in a position of receiving signal coming from another switcher and also ensures the connection of it with several others (Weissenstein, 2015). The process continues even in circumstances where it entails up hundreds of numbers of computers in the chain.
Robinson, (2018) concurred that the advantage that SNET has is that everything is done completely with cables. For instance, it is all about the coax cables that cover the rooftop terraces, windows, and balconies plus even streets upwards. The only question that intrigues is where the cables are being got yet the hardware salesmen or the normal stores never sell them in the country. On top of this, the people of Cuba are for sure very creative, intelligent and inventive. However, they are not for living within opines of the 21st century. Consequently, they remain leading their daily lives based on the ancient technologies invented in many centuries that have already passed.
According to Weissenstein, (2015), over the last twenty years in Cuba, when the pirates involved in distribution known as the 'lateros' started to develop the homemade TV antennas. As a result, they found themselves capable of picking the foreign channels and also their transmission through a cable to their respective users. Robinson, (2018) established that it consequently it led to the birth of the market for the coax cables. One only needs to have the desired 'contact' with the appropriate sums of money and thus may be in a position of asking for the number of meters he or she may need (Weissenstein, 2015). Often, the teenagers and even the young lads inject their cash that for sure they had worked tirelessly to acquire in purchasing cables they need.
Exploring the roots of the SNET, it appears vividly clear that it was formed by persons and groups that had the objectives of creating youths that had zeal of ensuring the presence of internet (Robinson, 2018). In the past thirty years after the Government funded the construction and development of the 'Computer Youth Clubs', it gave the opportunity for creation of a district capital and provinces that had between ten to twenty computers for use by the youths during their leisure time. The motive was to offer encouragement to the young people develop interests in IT and also warm them up for the digital life in the future. At a later date, it saw the furnishing of technology learning institutions with IT oriented classrooms and this further led to the establishment of the IT University situated at the old Soviet base Lourdes on the Havana outskirt regions.
For sure the networks have limitation to the geographical characteristics of the nearby localities (Robinson, 2018). For instance, within the Havana, SNET exist in the Old Havana in Vedado. Similarly, the Central Havana has three municipalities that are situated next to each other. Each of these municipalities is capable of accommodating many people served with the internet. Also, one may proceed with the connection for his or her neighbor.
Private Wifi Network with Nanos
Normally, one from a local area based network gets an opportunity of holding a nano (Nano Station) through spending heavily. Weissenstein, (2015) defined Nano as a WiFi device that may apply as point access or as a client. The instance, in this case, insinuates that two guys are capable of creating a point to point bridge that is also wireless. The most renowned models within the market are China-based produced by Ubiquiti or the Leguang that is a bit cheaper. Prices of these devices as noted by localities Robinson, (2018) range between 100 dollars or the prices that are equivalent to that of the Cuban currency; Convertible Cuban Pesos (CUC).

A nano can function effectively in a country that is less developed since it is capable of connecting various WiFi points within a distance of ten kilometers. However, Weissenstein, (2015) cautioned that this also depends on the power of the nano and also whether a direct line to enhance vision is present in between them, thus increasing the opportunities of the creation of this underground based network (Weissenstein, 2015). Despite all these, the favorite resource continues to be cables for the SNET because computers and switches that constitute the network are not connected to the internet. Also, they are not detectable to the respective trackers where each government all the globe utilizes it in delving into the citizens' communication on the internet (Robinson, 2018). Similarly, the frameworks within the government only permit the people of Cuba a limited use of the internet services that is also dictated by the political environments. The instance in this case happens despite the presence of the private legal course that may take actions through judicial process or litigations and the commerce environment that indeed need internet for marketing purposes.
