Inequality

Healthcare coverage at the C.S.U.F. is currently more expensive for international students, as compared to regular students. International students pay more education fees, but this approach shouldn't be considered when it comes to healthcare. This is because it is a basic necessity where life is valued more than business. It should be affordable, available, and accessible to every student in demand. The inequality with this vice is that the services accessed are the same.

Health disparities also exist in the U.S.A., with a focus on statistics that indicate higher lifespans for white vs. non-white individuals. This has been extended to international students who are over 18 years and non-Caucasians.

Importance of addressing the issue

First is the increased expenditure of students at the university. Healthcare in the U.S.A is the most expensive in the world. On top of this, most international students come from countries where healthcare is a social act. Forcing them to pay extra to whatever is already expensive is difficult for them.

It creates a rift between regular students and international students. If students feel that they pay more for services, they shouldn't; it creates a rift of favoritism, which could be a barrier to education.

Lack of essential healthcare could be the final service that could be denied to international students if they cannot afford it.

Activist groups that try to address the situation
