Introduction
Going through the stories and analyzing by the philosophical knowledge, there are similarities in the existence of good and bad, and the causes of the evil deeds in the society. Even though it is not very clear if God is the solutions to the problems, both stories agreed on the existence of evil and the suffering of a human being in the world today; and so then, there is questioned challenge of the sources and end of the human problem. The problems of the existence of evil are a significant challenge to the faith and belief of God. Both stories tend to get into the solutions of the social issues, and another is that there is the existence of some supreme being. Both of the readings are clear on the reality of evil; this is shown by the suffering that human being is going through.
Can life have objective meaning without God? Defend your answer, making reference (Pro or Con) to the reading(s).
Life can still have objective meaning without God. This statement can be validated when we understand the purpose of the existence of a human being.By getting to understand what makes one happy and what strive individually to wake up daily to pursue. Different people get happiness from totally different aspects of life; some get satisfaction from food and drinks; some gets pleasure from wealth and owning a lot of things. And some people gain happiness from family and relatives, so it's argued out that when you understand what makes you happy. Then you will feel that you have a purpose of living. Again from the readings, we find that there are a lot of problems in human life like diseases and even wars amongst the relatives and also close friends. But if it's true that life can only exist without God, then the problems should not exist as God is omnipresent and omnificent and he is all-knowing, so God should know our questions before falling us.
Could life be "good" without objective meaning? Defend your answer, making reference (Pro or Con) to the reading(s).
Life cannot be good without the objective for living and what is keeping you awake every day in the life. No human being would like to be blamed for working aimlessly without goals and purpose for the hard work. Then in the society working and living without purpose is against the accepted norms and the sanity which guide the human existence. Many people in the religion believe that there was a purpose for creation by God. That person is created to multiply and fulfill the earth, which to Christianity could be is the purpose for living. "Life without meaning can be like walking inside a dark room without knowing what might knock you on your next step." said by Larrimore .Every man should work and be motivated according to his ability and should be rewarded according to the effort put in working. Thus people with much more objectives and aim for working hard are likely to get the reward equivalent to their struggle. People have different purposes for life, like love, acquiring wealth, or even serving others and making them happy. Nevertheless, the objective of lives must exist.
What effect do your "Conclusions" reading the problem of evil has in your view, on the philosophical case for God's existence? Explain How & Why
It is evident that evil exists, and God is in control of everything on earth. The presence of evil is to strengthen the faith of believers. No one can get the suffering and temptation, which is above his or her effort. Blake stated that "The problems which people undergo are all having solutions! Then the questions which I would ask myself and any other ready is that if issues come with evil, then the solutions of the problems must come from God? This can be my point; when there is a new disease affecting people." Then, God will provide knowledge to the doctors and researchers to get and understand how the pandemic can be resolve. It is also notable that God and evil are logically compatible. We cannot use the presence of problems to rule out the existence of God, and if anything to go by, then the issues are always making us stronger in faith.
Conclusion
Evil is in existence however we are made to believe that God is in control and make everything easily. Religion is founded in the belief of a supreme power and that no matter what happen or difficulty that a human being might go through, God, who is the Supreme Being would help those who believe in Him to fight against all odds. We are made to believe through religion that everything is possible if we believe in God to fight for us in case of any evils against us.
