Problem-solving is the ability to find solutions to problems using critical reasoning. Typically, to find the answer to the issues, one must understand that there exists a problem that needs to be solved. In an organization, problem-solving is usually done in a team effort. In the event of a service interruption reports, the recommended action is to find out the SIRs that were severely damaged. Working together with a group will solve the problem more accurately and fast. Typically, after finding out the SIRs damage report, the next course is to try and scrutinize the reports and have a clear understanding of the problem. The details of the SIRs report will show what time the report was out of control (de Jong & Fodor, 2017). Furthermore, the details will also show the percentage of customers affected. Finally, find out what caused the service interruption report. The detailed data is then converted into frequency units that will make it easier to solve the problem. The major comes when refining the data, which is a very tedious process. Finding out the number of customers affected by the process and arranging the data in an organized manner. These processes will result in having refined data and an understanding of the SIRs detailed report.
The number of customers affected was the leading cause of service interruption (Bliss et al., 2006). This is because, the higher the number of affected customers, the greater the loss incurred by the Florida power light organization. Consequently, finding the origin of the problem meant determining the frequency with which the outage occurred. Furthermore, this step will help to analyze the data. Finding out different causes of service interruption reports identifying the effect it has on the customer. In addition, through teamwork performance, the information gathered is more reliable for solving the service interruption issues. Additionally, finding the origin of the cause would be a significant step when determining the data needed. These are done by coming up with causes that are essential to service interruption reports. Fundamentally, viewing the situation from a different angle helps to find more information. Therefore, finding out how the cause has affected the consumers is crucial when determining the info needed. The objective with the highest customer influence becomes the most vital cause of SIRs.
