I have learned that individual difference is essential and exists such as the use of assertiveness, length of eye contact, and the use of gestures. However, individual variation is stable and consistent throughout someone's life. Therefore, communication styles are based on two-dimension namely, sociability and dominance. Sociability refers to enjoy and seek a relationship, whereas dominance refers to the tendency to exercise a take-charge attitude. The sociability continuum comprises of low and high sociability. Low sociability entails a more formal relationship, more reserved, and control feelings. High sociability, people tend to enjoy personal associations, they are open and talkative, and they can express emotions.

I have learned that knowledge of personal communication style is critical in building relationships within society. Such that, if people understand their communication style, they can do most things effective. There is no need for a person to belabor too much on a personal weakness but instead focus on the prevailing interest that can spur prosperity. I have learned that for an individual to communicate effectively, there is no need to be pushy.

In my view, my communication style is sociability. I tend to lie on high sociability. In essence, when I am with my friends, they always believe that I am talkative. I still have these feelings that I have more information to share with others making me open to express my feelings to the public. For instance, when discussing personal life, I tend to associate and connect myself to the situation of the character in the discussion.

By knowing my communication style, others will not rely too much on my weakness but strength. Thus, it will make others appreciate me and refraining from giving me a task I cannot handle. By knowing my communication style, I shall be able to develop new skills to increase versatility with others. Besides, it shall help me not to have an inflexible behavior. Thus, people will have a total concept of me to determine whether or right I engaged in a promiscuous act intentionally or unintentionally. Knowing my communication styles shall belabor me from providing an in-depth explanation of my mischiefs and misgivings.

In the future, the ability to know my communication style shall help to show sincere interest in people. In essence, it shall seek to identify the common areas and interests to help us dovetail well. Thus, it shall give people's personal space to express themselves without being pushy at the time they speak. Knowing my communication style shall help me to put the priority on relationship building instead of holding grudges with one another.
