I Love Reading: How It Helped Me Become a Good Writer

Introduction

Reading, in general, is my thing which has indeed reflected on why I am a good writer of poems, novels and reports. My love for books began back in class five, where my English teacher would appoint me to read through stories in class since I was among the top scholar. This built my confidence, where I was self-motivated to start writing my poems and novels and present them in class during our free lessons.

The college has then taught me the need of working in team aside from what I used to believe although. Back in primary, I used to do my stuff alone not wanting people to interfere with my plans since I had this belief that no one is happy when you progress, but this has not been the case in college where I have learnt the importance of teamwork. One can expand his/her thinking on various issues out of listening to peoples different views on different topics.

Together we can go far has been my motto up to now. I have also learnt that when you are working with a team, you ought to be a good listener who pays attention to every detail. A good listener talks less and listens more; no wonder we were given two ears and one mouth. This has indeed helped me learn new ideas from my colleagues, and due to this, I managed to be the best writer in college and later came up with a student's club for empowering youth which was very successful.

Time is one precious gift given to us, but at times if you don't manage it well, it can create chaos in one's life. I am time cautious person who tries all I can to do a meaningful thing always and let every second count. I am raised to be a person of good character who respects others, especially my elders, and seeking good advice from them. This good foundation has been the reason as to why I fit in most sectors since a person of good morals is always accepted and liked by many. Due to my good behaviours, I was elected the student leader in college, where I used the platform to influence many.

However, in spite of all that, there have been many challenges that come with been "good" firstly people take advantage of you. Since I was a smart student, classmates could always come now and then consulting to an extent I had no personal time for myself plus a lot of time is wasted while you start urging on the right choices which I find challenging. To rectify this an own time table is vital and need to put a limit for others such that you also have time to do personal things. Out of knowing limits for everything and managing time properly, I have managed to excel in many sectors among them publishing my poetry book which contains a collection of 50 poems, and at my age, I feel successful.

Conclusion

It can then be concluded that my profile reflects the real me, and thus, it can be used to give information about me. A personal profile, therefore, offers others information about the whole person that you are.
