Some various scenes show how Midwestern employees could understand about Chinese counterparts. For instance, global capitalism makes some nations termed as people without experience and training. Also, the Fuyao employees work in challenging conditions where they lack friendship with locals as they operate the United Automobile company.

Secondly, this movie brings aspects of competition between American and Chinese. These two nations have been encountering astonishment due to the struggle for superpowers. For instance, in the film, China does not feel proper working with the United States because workers wonder whether they can tolerate its authority and eventually decides to support their company. Also, when managers begin explaining to the cafeteria belonging to the Chinese employees, they don't listen but instead concentrates on eating their meal. Therefore, due to the competition, American and Chinese workers fail to work jointly towards achieving a common goal. Also, the company is seen employing more Chinese workers and not American, and everyone has a desire to get employment. For instance, Cho Tak Wong, the chairman who visits the manager, describes how the United States workers are behaving because they don't come to the jobs every day as they take weekend leaves.
