Introduction
Insecurity in the parking lot has been a burning issue in our community. It occurs where there is a lack of enough measures that aim at safeguarding the cars situated at the parking lots. As a result, there are increased cases of car break-ins which end creating damages and losses to the community at large. For example, as the increase of crime in the parking lot increases, more people tend to lose the vehicles to thieves and sometimes these criminals may damage the car as they steal some of the spare parts. In this case, the security in the parking lot stands as a gap not only in our community but also an alarming issue in other communities. This topic is appropriate since it helps to create awareness on the possible solutions to this problem. Therefore, the paper aims at providing an in-depth analysis on the major causes of insecurity within the parking lot, the possible solutions to the problem, and finally the anticipated challenges that can be faced while striving to establish these solutions.

Consequently, some of the cameras have sensors that detect any movement and light up a lamppost upon detecting any movement. These improvements will help to enhance the security as it is the best choice to prevent car break-ins in our neighborhood.

Lack of proper surveillance either from CCTV or a physical security officer is essential in enhancing the safety of the parking lot. Furthermore, when the officer is available, it is possible to alert the community in case of any break-ins. It is also worth noting that when these surveillance measures are present, it can deter the criminals from breaking into the parking lot since they fear they might be caught and face disciplinary measures.

Such instances increase the risk of theft and damage since the cars parked outside are at a limited chance of security. They are at the disposal of the criminals making it easy for them to cause any damages. These two causes are not permanents problems where establishing effective measures can help the community in solving and even avoid the problems.
