Introduction
Germany has been perceived to have participated actively in devastating activities during the holocaust periods. King Christian X's legendary actions have received accolades through the country of Denmark. The King, for instance, never backed the German plans to deport the immigrants as well as other immoral activities. As soon as Germany occupied Denmark in 1940, it imposed weird and savage conditions on the native inhabitants of the land. Germans, for instance, forced themselves in the legislative duties of Danish people through beginning to monitor their foreign policies, among other activities. (Keren, 2018) They also began showing authorities throw controlling the Danish raw materials and food services. However, the Germans never bothered to control the internal affairs of the Danish people. During the holocaust periods, the Jews were primarily subject to the bad rule of the Germans. However, the Danish citizens always had the back of the Jews during such humiliating moments. The Danish always stood firm against the German rule in their country. Additionally, they also fought endlessly for the release of Jewish citizens from the Nazi concentration camps.
The first photo portrays King Christian X on his horse accompanied by Danish people who are on their bicycles. The King was known for his legacy, which resulted from his continuous support for his people against the harsh mistreatment from the Germans during the holocaust periods. The photo manifests solidarity of King Christian X and the Danish people, which were propelled towards seeking justice in the face of the German government, more so the Nazi regime. During the German rule in Denmark, they passed an order that required the Jews occupying the country to recognize themselves by putting on yellow stars armbands. Heroically, King Christian X and the other non-Jewish citizens disobeyed this order. The Kin and his followers decided to don their armbands instead to counter the order from the Germans. The photo speaks more about how King Christian X stood for the justice of his people at all times.
The boldness of King Christian contradicts most traits of leaders who betray the trust of their followers through collaborating with the colonial powers. King Christian X preferred riding on his horse alone every morning in the city of Copenhagen to manifest his endless support for national unity and independent. The second photo shows the King sharing some moments with his fellow Jews. The stories of King Christian X legacy have it that he always took matters about national cohesion so seriously, and this accounted for the reason he became a prominent leader in the actual perception of the majority of the Danish settlement. The second photo reveals a meeting which King Christian attended in December 1941. In the meeting, King Christian sent a letter to the welfare of the Danish Jews. Consequently, the King never feared even the most dreaded leader of that time. During one of his birthdays, King Christian X snubbed birthday wishes from Adolf Hitler and some of the Nazis.
King Christian X advocated for the utmost unity within the Danish Jews people. The unity among the Danish people facilitated the rescue of the Jews from the brutal concentration camp dominated by the Nazis. Adolf Hitler of Germany dehumanized the innocent lives of Jews through his Nazi followers, and this made King Christian X bitter with him. The King stood firm in protest for justice in their land. King Christian X became popular through his continuous support for his people against the Nazis. (Bak, 2016) Holocaust experiences are the worst, and King Christian X never wanted the Jews and his Danish supporters to be victims of the holocaust.
