Introduction
According to the details discovered and documented in the previous section, I am not sure if this area of IT is the best fit for me, because I discovered that creating website requires a lot of interest in programming, implementing web based projects. I, however, see myself in a similar designing enterprise-level networks. I want to work on a bigger collaboration scale in encouraging environment. Working as an IT has nothing to do with working on a solo basis, because it actually a greatly a collaborative effort. One is most likely to work closely with his/her colleagues on a number of team projects, allowing one to be part of several large-scale initiatives
Pursing Information Technology (IT) will allow me to take my career in a number of various directions. I have a chance of becoming a network article, a computer systems analyst, a computer programmer, an information architect, a database administrator, a web developer, an information security analyst and so more. Some institutions that offer IT courses offer too specializations in Network Administration, Database Development and Administration, Information System Security, and Web Development.
Besides, almost every organization or a firm is in need of a team of well-informed about computers to keep its systems up and running as expected. This suggests that I can be able to find work in almost every industry I would like such as government, entertainment, healthcare, hospitality, manufacturing, and retail among others.
My entire childhood I have been around computers for as long as I can remember. Credit for that goes to my god-brother who used to work from home on his computers. My first experience was games, and as I grew older, my interest in IT field generally improved considerably.
My secondary education has assisted me to acquire basic skills with programming and establish a good approach to computers. My IT teacher contributed to shifting my interests from hardware to software and introduced me to programming. Also, in her class, I was able to improve my problem-solving capability. Physics offered me a better comprehension of the law of cause and effect and elevated my curiosity as to what makes things work the way they do.
I have always dreamt of working in a field that has growth potential. I am a person who likes new challenges. IT is one of the fields that can offer me a new problem to work out for its solution. According to the US. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), the average job growth for all occupations from 2012 to 2022 is at 11%. Nonetheless, the BLS forecast that several IT jobs will far outdo this growth rate, with the demand information security analysts anticipated to heighten by 37%, for computer system analysts to increase to 25%, and, need for software developers to increase up to 22%
Programming fits me. Because it offers one opportunity to work with several industries and chance to choose job one wants. Creating good programs and building excellent relationships with clients will depict one as someone businesses may recruit for jobs, so one could have the chance to choose as they wish the roles that you really want to play. Hence, offering opportunities to exploit my skills fully.
To become one of the most skilled and successful in the field of IT I am planning to adhere to the following steps develop my vision, conduct a reality check of the vision, establish a milestone, find supporting habits, setting one measure of reward and punishment and, review the plan.
I view myself as the next five years after my graduation as an expert who has engaged fully to the tech world and able to communicate and know the lingo of programmers. Hence, I will be able to speak the same language and share a similar experience with my fellows at a project and positively collaborate on different projects.
