Introduction
Communication remains a vital aspect of people's daily life globally. Effective communication is an extremely significant piece in the business setting, family meetings, and learning institutions that needs human interaction. It does not only increase the workflow but also keeps and enhances good morale in the workplace (Kovac & Sirkovic, 2017). The communication can be utilized to anchor the workplace and production morale. In both schools and communication failures arises if the information is complicated and unclear as it results in problems with information recall. Effective communication is applied in the workplace to motivate, inform, control, and emotional expression.
In schools, effective communication reinforces skills, dispositions, and knowledge, which school heads need to influence students' outcomes directly and indirectly (Ulmer et al., 2017). Many challenges relating to communication in schools can be addressed through effecting communication by the use of proper communication strategies designed to suit students' performance and their career progress.
Excellent communication skills are essential to the students as it boosts their career development, social networking, study, and job interview. Students through communication can learn more things from their teachers as students need more in-depth and practical knowledge concerning the subject they learn (Brownell et al., 2013). Also, students get t to improve the quality of their friendship with others through effective communication. Controlled physical expression and verbal communication assist the students in making and being able to interact with new friends and being with new friends who are excellent help in relieving stress. Good communication skills give confidence and healthy relationships.
In career progressing, having clear communication about the knowledge, objective vocabulary, and skills in a time of communicating while in an interview, students can quickly secure jobs when they can confidently express themselves physically. Hence, effective communication changes students at a large base as it makes a difference in the student's personality (Brownell et al., 2013). So many students in universities face problems of communication during interviews; thus, understanding improved and effective communication assists in building students' careers in different fields.
Furthermore, effective communication is applied in enhancing collaborative and teamwork attitudes. Students can have positive behaviors, collaborative efforts, and gratitude to others which helps them to solve problems that might occur between team members (Ulmer et al., 2017). In the future, the students will effectively communicate through audio, texts, and video conferencing with clients in the workplace. If they are ineffective in tweets, emails, and social engagement, their career progress will be impacted negatively.
More so, communication skills can be applied to develop professionalism in students, as some students have to communicate with clients, they need friendliness, empathy, and professionalism in their positive speaking attitude while interacting in their fields (Brownell et al., 2013). Practicing and learning communication skills assist students in handling some kinds of social and professional tensions. Avoiding bad communication and following excellent communication skills will make students great professionals, leaders, and socially impactful.
Networking is an essential factor in the lives of students, and the excellent communication skills obtained in school will help them in the debate, family, and group communications (Kovac & Sirkovic, 2017). The students will be able to analyze the standard and level of their communication. They can listen to conversations of others and attach importance to those opinions and draw new conclusions from the subject of the discussion.
