The proposed structure of mediation in the case of Barcelona and La Liga will be an integrative negotiation strategy. Unlike in the case of a distributive negotiation strategy that focuses on the personal interest of an individual party regardless of the loss the other party will have to face, integrative negotiation strategy focuses on the mutual interest of the involved parties. It encourages the outcome of a win-win scenario where each party benefits from the result of conflict resolution. It requires that focus not be put on how much each team will receive rather a total payoff through cooperation. To attain this, a mediator should make both parties to perceive each other as collaborators and friends (Lewicki, Barry, & Saunders, 2016). This form of conflict resolution strategy will be useful in the case of Barcelona and La Liga since conflict only arises on external forces (politics), and this should not separate them since they still need each other.

Some specific factors and barriers need to be managed and resolved in resolving the conflict between Barcelona and La Liga. One of them is insufficient focus on the underlying interests. One party may lack to effectively focus on the significant underlying importance tabled by the other party, and this may make it hard to reach a consensus. To resolve this, a mediator needs to focus on all the underlying interests and tend to provide a solution to each. The aspect of overconfidence is also a barrier that needs to be resolved. It is vital to make all team neutral to avoid overconfidence of one party that its perspective is collect. The other aspect that needs to be fixed is a misunderstanding of loss/risk analysis. Allowing appropriate risk and loss analysis will ensure that the resolution that will be attained will be able to cover loss and risk adequately (Lewicki et al., 2016). Doing this will ensure that both parties will be contented with the resolution that will be made.
