Introduction
The thorough publicization of the survey would have been done to strengthen the justifications of the study. It would have widened the approach perspective of the many households used as survey samples. It would have, therefore, made the survey a global concern in terms of awareness. The survey would have thus received a vast range of suggestions and opinions of how all the other ethnicities of the world accept the Chinese race. The survey would have adequately received sample feedbacks from all ethnic races across the globe.
Reasons for thorough publicization of the survey
The survey about how other ethnicities of the world accepts its proper publicization would have strengthened the Chinese race among them because of the following:
The whole world would have been aware of how other ethnic groups racially accepts the Chinese people among them, as well as how minority ethnicities in Hong Kong are accepted racially by the typical Chinese race. It is because the survey would have had the whole world to gather opinions and feedback from. It would have thus aided into evaluating the effective approaches of fighting the racism against the Chinese people by other world ethnicities, in case the response would have been negative. It would have consequently aided into easier implementation of the said positive policy changes.
The survey would have been globalized and, therefore, all the human races of the world would have acted as the sources of raw data. It would have provided the survey with a wide area of respondents to choose from. Thus, the accuracy of the survey would have been ensured, due to availability of a varied range of feedbacks.
The sampling method used and how it compromises the quality of findings
The sampling method used in the survey is the cluster sampling method, which incorporates the use of questionnaires since it gathers data from different but narrow classes of respondents, which are the police, teachers, secondary school students, and university students. It has a major problem of providing wrong feedbacks because the respondents are but representations of large groups of these various classes of people, who could as well provide false information. Thus, it compromises the quality of the survey findings. The study would have applied a random sampling method, which would have resulted in a varied range of responses. Thus it would have improved feedback quality in terms of accuracy.
Recruitment of the samples of the Study
The respondents of the study were selected as samples during their normal encounters. It has one major problem of narrowing the classes of respondents used as samples since it does not provide equal chances to illiterate respondents for opinions too. Thus, biased findings since the study do not provide feedbacks from varied classes of respondents. It is because it only applies to literate respondents for data samples. Use of random sampling method would have hence, curbed the problem.
The concept of acceptance towards people with different ethnicity
It means how a given race of people is perceived racially by another different ethnic group of individuals. The variables of respondents were approximated in percentages, instead of the real population of the samples. The substantive problem in the overall format of the question is that it was complicated and unclear, instead of being simpler. It thus gave the respondents a tough time in relaying their opinions. The other substantive problem with the question of "I accept" is that it is too general and does not provide choices to the respondents. It would have been specific or with choices to enable respondents to write what is necessary. The substantive problem in the ethnicity categories is that it seems very discriminative in terms of human races, thus limits the varied range of opinions that a respondent would have because they would have considered mentioning other race of people different from the ones provided. Therefore, ingenuine responses. I doubt the reliability of the scale scores of "general acceptance towards various ethnic minority groups" because the study had limited classes of respondents. Thus, the biasness of the scale scores.
The statistical test suitable for achieving the difference between the sample classes towards Pakistani as well as that between of Chinese and Japanese is random sampling. It is because it would have adjusted the number of different opinions related to these differences since the extra classes of respondents would have been involved in the sample feedback reports. Thus, reliability would have been achieved. A Hong Konger refers to a typical Chinese individual who can speak the Chinese language fluently and originates from Hong Kong by birth, which should not be the case. Any individual residing in Hong Kong despite the race should be entitled to enjoy the same privileges just like the typical Chinese residents who were born in Hong Kong. The term Hong Konger is, therefore, discriminative as well, and may thus hinder the fight of racism towards the minority ethnicities in Hong Kong.
