The people who fail to participate in the process of voting contribute to the undermining representative democracy (Gehrlein, 2017). There has been a significant gap of the people participating in the voting exercise, characterized by certain aspects.Voting is in several nations based on disproportionate among the higher income earners, more partisan individuals, or the older persons in society. Besides the increasing gap in participation rates, there is also a widening gap witnessed based on the reduced opportunity of the youth, wealth, and frustration with polarization happing in politics. One can imagine how the world would be if all people participated in the voting exercise.

Generally, nonprofits are more likely to survive and grow in a setting where the administration is regraded in high esteem. Besides, the individuals in this environment depict increased likelihood to take part in and trust the existing democracy.

Voting counts, especially for areas or regions that depict maximum interest in the activity. The elected officials understand who participates in the process. Studies establish that voters demonstrate higher engagement in certain other activities, such as contacting their election official or volunteering. This population is more informed regarding the local affair, and they significantly contribute to the social capital of their neighborhoods. Voters they depict more concern regarding their peers and communities and possess a greater sense of their potential to influence the surrounding world.
