Introduction

The chapter teaches that a person should stand firm despite the circumstances. The section describes how it is essential for one to support their beliefs on what they think is right. King Nebuchadnezzar wanted to throw Meshach, Abednego, and Shadrach into a blazing fire. Instead of worshipping the other gods, they claimed: "If the God we serve exists, then he can rescue us from the furnace of blazing fire, and he can rescue us from the power of you, the king” (Daniel 3:17). They added that they wouldn't bow down to the gods even if their God doesn't save them.

The other key idea learned is the pressure exerted to one by their peers. Throughout the chapter, Daniel and his allies are pressured and persuaded by their peers to be part of Assyrian ways of life, but they refused which made them known for their healthy heart of the resistance." But these four are the only ones whose names we know because they appear to have been the only ones who stood up for the faith in God." Another instance that proved the existence of peer pressure is when they were to dine from the king’s place (Andrews, 2017).

The last essential lesson learned is persevering until the end. Despite the harsh conditions that Daniel and his allies went through, they kept believing in their faith by fighting for what they thought was right even when Daniel was in a den of lions, and the three friends were in a pit fire. The scenario would have been different if they had accepted the policies set by their society. Still, they persevered until the end and managed to survive because God saved them from all the circumstances (Benham, 2016).

Two things learned about the player:

What I have learned from the reading is that I should have faith in God throughout my lifetime. God will always be there to guide me. I believe that God is omnipresent and is still with me in every situation, and the story of Daniel proved it.

Another essential thing that I comprehended from reading is the importance of avoiding peer pressure. I've vowed to stay put with what I genuinely believe in by avoiding peer pressure from friends, and the society in general. Peer pressure has always been in existence, and sometimes it is not elementary to prevent it. The chapter helped me comprehend that not falling into peer pressure is more important than doing what the magnitude does (Ogan, 2018).

One way to apply what I have learned:

I can apply the lesson that I have learned from the chapter by using other people's willingness to let the Lord control their lives as a guide for my way of life. There are many scenarios that I have struggled with and allowed God to be my guide, but the chapter has enabled me both comprehend and overcome issues with being free with myself. I will do my level best to follow the example that Shadrach, Abednego, Daniel, and Meshach shown and allow God to guide my life instead of the magnitude. The lessons have been beneficial to me and my spiritual life. I can handle any situation that I come across without much struggle.
