At present, there exists a significant dissatisfaction level in the organization. It is as a result of the organization operations as well as failure to accommodate contemporary technology. In this present project, the fundamental approach and role would include upgraded network provision with a capacity of joining all the wired, mobile data, and wireless and telephony. The project implementation success would result in positive implications like faster and increased access to the network. Also, the implementation success would significantly advance the e-learning abilities within the organization. The evaluation would ensure that the measures progress to objectives and goals. Also, the evaluation will include a periodic assessment of progress, performance, efficiency, relevance, and impact concerning the requirements of the project. The project monitoring will involve direct observation on how the systems are functioning and also interviewing the staffs using it. Project Evaluation and Review Technique (PERT) will also be used where the project manager will conduct chart analysis and compare deliverables. The importance of conducting effective monitoring and evaluation of a project would aid to develop programs, targets, and strategies. Also, the techniques enable the program to be on tract hence improving project accountability and efficiency.
8. Transferring Learnt Skills into Working Practices
While handling this assignment, I have acquired different skills starting from the organization change aspects like change planning, change management, change leadership, and change maintenance. The skills on stakeholders and their competencies in a project; for instance, top management which comprises of the directors need to communicate their vision effectively. The project team needs to have the capacity to solve problem and conflict resolution. I have learned the nine stages that result in efficient project design. Finally, I have acquired skills on the techniques used in monitoring and evaluation of the project. After acquiring the skills, the remaining part is to put them into working practice. First, I will always take consideration of the organization change aspects when I aspire to make any change. Secondly, I will start working upon my communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution capabilities. Thirdly, as a project, I will always make sure to rely on an efficient project to avoid any pitfalls in the future. Finally, I will put into practice the monitoring and evaluation techniques that I have learned in any project that I will handle in the future.
