A conspiracy theory is the description of a belief that has been developed over time to find an accurate explanation concerning an occurrence, or phenomenon. In this case, various conspiracy theories are about the assassination of John F Kennedy. That is as a result of the interest that the topic has generated in history. It is because of the importance that he was in American history then. Various scenarios have been documented to find the best explanation of how the assassination went down. The major details about the conspiracy theories are about who was responsible for it, as well as what was their motive. John F. Kennedy was a very influential figure in American history, and his significance cannot be underestimated. Thus, his assassination has always been characterized by a great deal of conspiracy, as people strive to find the most suitable scenario that led to his death. In this case, the Soviet government conspiracy is highlighted, because it is the one that is believed by most people concerning his assassination.

The first reason why the theory is believed to be true is the fact that the perceived motive was the Cuban Missile Crisis. The conspiracy theory is based on revenge, because of the effect that the Cuban Missile Crisis had; hence necessitating a possible retaliation by Nikita Khrushchev's leadership. Under the leadership of John F. Kennedy, a ballistic missile was fired to Cuba, which had devastating effects. There was a confrontation; with the American president being at the center of it; hence being a major target at that time. As a result of the firing of the ballistic missile in Cuba, Nikita Khrushchev was humiliated; because of the inferiority that was implied (Bugliosi et al, 65). Various parties supported this theory, including a former first secretary of the British embassy that was based in Moscow. They reported that multiple sources indicated that the Cuban missile crisis made John F. Kennedy a major target by various parties that were aggravated by the effects of the crisis. Thus, the assassination was planned based on the effect it had on various parties.

The other reason that tries to validate the theory is concerning the connection that existed between Lee Harvey Oswald and the USSR. It is documented that he was a former marine and an American Marxist. Although he was an active Marxist during his time of service, he defected to the Soviet Union in the year 2959, just four years before the assassination took place. Thus, his allegiance to the Soviet Union put him in a position to act within their interest; which were motivated by the enmity that existed between them and American leadership (Harrison et al., 3). Although there was little direct evidence that directly liked him to the assassination, there was a reasonable belief that he was the person that assassinated the president. His close ties with USSR seem to validate the fact that the assassination which he implemented was spearheaded by the Soviet Union. That was all caused by the effects of the Cuban Missile Crisis, which intensified relations with the United States.

The soviet government conspiracy theory is also believed to be true because of the many documents that have information that supports the soviet government conspiracy. More than 2800 documents have been released to the public following an order by President Trump. These documents have various evidence and links, all of which point to the soviet government conspiracy's role in the assassination of John F. Kennedy. For example, there is information regarding a memo dated 1st December 1966; which was released by J. Edgar Hoover an FBI director, to President Lyndon Johnson's assistant Marvin Watson. It was about a source that furnished sufficient evidence that pointed towards the role of the Soviet Union in the assassination of John F. Kennedy. The memo continues and states that there was a well-planned motive by the Soviet Union to cause instability in the United States through a coup. The coup would be achieved as a result of the assassination of the president. All of which was as a result of the Cuban Missile Crisis and the undesirable effects that it had for them.

Based on the various forms of evidence that proves this theory, I believe in its truth. That is also because a major player in it, Lee Harvey Oswald, was convicted as having assassinated the president. He had links with the Soviet Union before the assassination took place. Thus, that informs of the fact that he was acting in a way that was advancing their interests at that time. Moreover, there is much more compelling evidence that has the effect of validating the theory. For example, the 2800 documents with evidence that were released under the command of President Trump show that the theory is valid. Thus, it is evident that the theory is based on real news, because of the support it gets from various credible sources.
