According to the article, "Drink Coffee, Live Longer?" coffee is prepared from coffee beans which are roasted, as a brewed drink (Loomis et al., 2016). Its berry seeds originate from a group of Coffee species. The berries undergo picking, processing, and drying once they are ripe. The dry coffee seeds are subjected to roasting at various temperatures, considering the intended flavor. The beverage of coffee results from the grinding and brewing of the roasted coffee beans and it originated from Yemen (Loomis et al., 2016). It is dark in color, has a minute acidity, bitter, and stimulates human beings majorly because of its caffeine content. Many health kinds of research studies have been conducted to assert the clarity associated with the consumption of coffee. Its prolonged consumption by individuals is believed to have consequent benefits of health, which sees them live longer than their colleagues who do not consume it. Many studies have been put forward to substantiate how and why continued consumption of coffee prolongs a person's life. The paper, therefore, discusses how and why coffee drinkers live longer, considering the multiple research studies that have been conducted.

Consumption of coffee regularly is believed to boost individuals' health as it lowers their risks of being diabetic, reduces heart and digestive complications and stroke, as well as reducing the contraction rates of some types of cancer (Cavalli & Tavani, 2016). The factors are therefore responsible for the improved life lengths of coffee drinkers, a privilege that non-drinkers do not have. The news, however, emerges from a study that only used sample populations of white people for the research study (Grosso et al., 2017). There are therefore uncertainties regarding the same health effects of prolonged coffee consumption by other races of people other than the whites. Instead, there is an assumption that the same applies to all other races in the world. According to the Annals of Internal Medicine (CONDIMENT & CALORIES, 2017), a sample population of majorly non-white people indicated the same health benefits of prolonged coffee consumption. Based on the U.S Study (CONDIMENT & CALORIES, 2017), the same benefits of a regular habit of consuming coffee extends to other races of people. It re-affirms that consuming coffee even in little amounts every day has health benefits. Generally, the study reveals that the more individuals consume coffee, the more they boost their length of life. On the other hand, the lesser the consumption of coffee, the lesser the health benefits. The implication according to the reports of the research studies is that people who do not take coffee at all, tend to die quickly, as compared to those that do. The health benefits are the same for every coffee drinker, regardless of the type of coffee they consume; whether caffeinated or not, whether black, brown or light brown.

The research study however clarified that people do not need to drink coffee to live longer because it has some negative effects on some people. These can be inclusive of digestion issues, non-uniform heartbeat as well as agitation in some individuals (Grosso et al., 2017). The studies had the advantage of the available vast races of people in the world, to choose population samples from. On the other hand, they had a disadvantage pegged to the many races of people in the world, as they cannot assert the same results to those that they did not reach; the Africans. The outcomes of the study might have been affected unintentionally by the ignorance of the various degrees of coffee benefits on different races of people. For example, the health benefits might have been of much more importance and effects to one race of people than the others.

Conclusion

Generally, the research study suggests the many reasons why the prolonged consumption of coffee among people reduces their chances of dying earlier. The studies, however, do not incorporate in their findings, the assumptions that were made during their research. They have generalized the health effects of coffee on human beings, instead of being clear on the magnitudes of the benefits, as per given races of people. The studies should dig more regarding the extent of coffee consumption and their consequent health outcomes; because excess consumption of coffee might as well put human health at some unmentioned risks. The studies do not put into consideration some other health factors like allergies among individuals.
