Introduction
Data visualization is an essential aspect today for both personal and business use. Businesses in the world depend on database technology as well as data visualization, which creates a deeper understanding of data and how to avoid mashups. Data visualization at National Security Agency can be used to solve real-world problems, especially when it is placed in a form that humans are capable of understanding and processing (Segal, 2014). It can also be used to break Secure Socket Layer encryption so that the agency can easily access all data protected from Web traffic and emails helping it to trace criminal activities and help stop them early. An example of this concept is when the NSA uses data visualization to access huge volumes of messages and packets which cross the internet as the source and destination can be traced easily.
Information Security
Data visualization can also be effective when used at the NSA through offering increased information security for all databases that the agency uses to collect and analyze the information it collects (Van Puyvelde et al., 2017). Data visualization can also be adopted at the agency to tap data that it gets from systems of telecommunications and large emails incorporated in big companies like Yahoo and Google as they work together to ensure national security.
The three most important concepts learned this week include that emerging technology has an impact on the provision of real-time information and a real-time system on the management of the company that adopts it. This concept will make me understand how technology helps to provide data that is accurate and up-to-date which acts as an advantage to both the firm and customers. I also learned that adopting the right technology helps to improve the quality of the information in a company and this plays a major role in reducing the negative effects that emerge from using information that is of low-quality. This concept has made me understand that technology use in any firm helps to provide high quality data which is an advantage to the customers as they are always assured of quality work from the firm hence increased return rates.
Conclusion
To conclude, a business must have a database that is well-designed as it helps to handle changes easily and reduce redundancy of information provided to customers and other firms. This concept has been of importance because it has made me understand that without effective technology, a firm is likely to be overwhelmed by changes causing reduced profits and loss of customers.
