Introduction
Donald Trump and Mike Pence are famous individuals in the United States of America. They have been both known for various purposes in the economy and played vital roles in achieved some crucial things. On social media, it can be noted that both are popular with the content that they post. Donald Trump is said to the President of the United States, while on the other hand, Mike Pence is known for being the vice-president of the United States (England et al., 2020).
Tweets
On Twitter, Donald Trump, the President of the United States, is well featured with his tweets that are way too funny and also interesting to his followers. He is featured with around 80.3 million followers on Twitter. With this number of followers on Twitter, he is noted to be the 8th individual that has many followers on this social media site. The President has also been featured with having tweeted more than 52,000 times that includes both the tweets and retweets. Twitter is said to be the most preferred social for Trump, and hence most of the time, he is said to be more active on the site.
However, Mike Pence is said not to be popular on Twitter as compared to Trump. He has only 5 million followers, and he is only following 45 individuals. It is a clear indication that the vice president of America does not like twitter, just like the President. On Facebook, the vice president tends to use this social media site as a way of sharing his content and expressing his ideas. His activities have been featured, and he tends to be very active as compared to the use of Twitter. Mike Pence has been featured with more than 100,000 posts on Facebook, showing that it is his social media of choice (Greenwood, Perrin & Duggan, 2016).
On Facebook, Donald Trump is said to have more than 20 million likes and 1.7 million followers. He has around 22.4 million likes, and his followers, who often like his posts, are about 1.7 million that keep increasing every year and month. On Instagram, Donald Trump is noted with his 7 million followers, but he is said to be very active as he is on Twitter. Twitter is the most preferred social media for the President. He has also been featured on snap chatting and YouTube. On Snapchat, the President is seen to have joined in January, but the disadvantage is that Snapchat does not list the number of followers. He has over 4.3 million subscribers on YouTube that are interested in his posts (On a Friday morning Twitter (TWTR)). Mike Pence has featured only 539 posts on Instagram and is known for following only 31 individuals. The number of those that the vice president followers’ is only 556,000 showing a small number compared to the President.
Conclusion
According to the statistics between the two individuals, Donald Trump and Mike Pence, they differ with the social media that they express their ideas. Donald Trump is popular on Twitter, while Mike Pence is popular on Facebook. Donald Trump should also try to target Facebook as much as he posts on Twitter. On the other hand, Mike Pence should try to focus on using Twitter and not to focus on Facebook only.
