What is the Charity's Cause?
Imagine a day when every child in Australia got a home and accessed quality education. Unfortunately, the count of homeless children in Australia has been on the rise over the past years (Chamberlain, 2014). However, charity organizations such as World Vision Australia, and Mission Australia, among others, seek to recover and rehabilitate these homeless children. As an interested party, this charity's cause is to support these charity organizations' noble course, as the famous Charles Dickens once said: "No one is useless in this world who lightens the burdens of another (Bentley, 1988). In particular, this charity seeks to improve the education for homeless children across Australia, in a quest to rehabilitate these homeless children from the streets for good.
How will the Donations help?
The various charity organizations such as World Vision Australia, Mission Australia, and several others are known to recover homeless children from the streets of Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane, and Sydney. While under rehabilitation, children in these organizations are often given education, thus they require proper learning materials. Donations to this charity will be essential in buying stationery and other learning materials, which will be donated to the charity organizations. Therefore, stationery bought by these donations, would be used to enrich libraries in these facilities to offer proper learning materials for children under rehabilitation.
Who will benefit from the Donations?
With stationery purchased from the donations received, and donated to these institutions, there would be plenty and diverse materials to learn from. Therefore, children under rehab in the various organizations would gain freedom in learning. Donations received will be used to mainly purchase stationery for young children, especially those in elementary school levels in the charity organizations. Therefore, the beneficiaries would gain diversity in knowledge.
Where will the Funds Go?
This charity work aims to use 100% of the donated funds to purchase stationery and other learning materials, which would then be donated to the learning facilities being run by the various charity organizations across Australia. The main reason for donating stationery instead of the funds is to ensure that all funds donated by the charity go into improving education. Australian charity organizations usually cover other needs as well: such as health, food, and shelter. Therefore, this charity work aims to exclusively cover educational needs
How soon are the Funds Needed?
Despite motivations such as John Bunyan's famous quote that: "You have not lived today until you have done something for someone who can never repay you", there is no deadline for submitting donations to this charity work. The donations are expected to support education in children, which is a continuous process, especially among children. Therefore, donating towards this noble course is not limited to a specified period.
Relationships with Charity Organizations
As mentioned earlier, the aim of this charity work is to offer additional support to other charity organizations, exclusively towards improving education among former homeless children, who are currently under rehabilitation at those organizations. However, this charity is not directly affiliated to these other organizations.
